password

When I logged on, there was a message on the homepage to change my password. (Not just mine, I know, but I can only handle one thing, here.) So…how do I do this?
Also, and probably unrelated, my weekly e-mail always has links to the website. This week, they didn’t work. Just in case no one else told you.

Change password:

Go to the “profile” icon on the top right of the page, sign in using your user name & password. Pick a new password. Press the submit modifications button.

If you look to the top right of your screen you’ll see a little icon called “profile”. Click on that, you’ll need to enter your username and password to get in. Once you do that, it’ll bring up all your stuff – sig, password, email address, etc.

Just enter your new password, confirm it, then hit submit. You’ll need to login again but with your new password.

Just want to see if my new password worked. Nothing to see here, sorry to intrude . Tuba please don’t hurt me.

I’ve never changed my SDMB password before. I always kept using the one I got assigned when I signed up. One year and five months, then someone hacks the boards and I have to change it.

What a hassle this is for the board to go through.
Thank you admin for putting up with all the BS.

I guess we are at risk of infinite sock puppets now from all the accounts that are rarely used.

I think mine has been changed…what do I do?

No wait, it’s fine, false alarm…I guess I just typed it in wrong. I changed it and the boards seem to be working fine for me.

My password no longer works. I haven’t been on all day so I have no idea what’s going on, but I can’t change my password. Help!

I hate this, took me a year to remember the last one.

Well, maybe not a year, but a at least a few minutes.

Grrr . . .

I just changed mine.

I’m pissed that someone would do this.

Thanks, Jerry for all the hard work.

Changed-angry-thanks admins, mods.

Test

Just checking. Apparently, my new password works.

This is a test of the emergency password-switching service. This is only a test. If this were a real emergency password-switch…wait, it is.

Run! Flee for the hills!

Apologies to JDavis who I have just ‘mailto’ -ed to ask how to change my password, then I found this thread! Ever felt a little sheepish?

…password check…
