(The only thing I’ve seen is a few locked threads where it said “I find this boring”, while obviously others were willing to keep the thread going. That’s not a major problem though, as threads do seem to get restarted.)
I know, but who pays attention to those little blurbs? I mean, you have the snazzy title of “Moderator” under your UN on every single post you make here. No one could ever overlook or forget UncleBeer!
I guess I will have to live with the hope that one day in the future I can tell my grandchildren that I was mentioned once by the world’s smartest human! (Of course, when they don’t believe me and I show them the column, they’ll say, “How do we know that’s really you, Grandma?” Oh well!)
Maybe I should apply for an illustrious Mod position! After all, there are a few hours in the day I’m not currently using for anything other than sleep!

You have to get on the SDMB every night, or most every night, even when you just wish everyone would shut the hell up.
You have to keep moving threads as people keep persistantly starting them in the wrong forum (for example, threads in GQ titled “My Butt Itches!” or “Has Anyone Else Been Gang-Sodomized by Demons?”)
You have to keep deleteing threads as people keep submitting ones like “Make Money FAST”, “Hot Asian Girls in your Inbox!”, and so forth.
You can’t get too involved in flame wars, since you represent the board (well, you are not supposed to anyways). You don’t have the right to be petty, bitter, or prejudicial, since your actions reflect on the board.
You can’t start a Pit thread about another poster, for the reasons above.
