I did a search, and came up empty, so I apologize if this has been asked before.
Mod’s what are your paying non-SDMB related jobs?

It’s in my profile.
They could tell ya.
But then they’d have to kill ya.
Mine is in my profile, too, just as my hero and mentor, Arnold’s. - Monkey Washer to the Stars
Since the mods don’t seem to be jumping forward to answer this question, I think we should all take a stab at contributing what we think their day jobs really are.
For example, it’s my understanding that C.K. Dexter Haven doesn’t have a day job, because he’s independently wealthy. The little time he has free from the SDMB he spends on yachting, golfing, and equestrian pursuits.
Gaudere is an international gadabout. She has no real job, all her wants and needs are provided by her entourage of wealthy male suitors.
Okay, I’ll bite. I’m an HIV/AIDS Epidemiologist. And assistant to Cecil Adams. The Straight Dope job isn’t a paying gig…he offered to pay me, but I just couldn’t… it’s such an honor.

I just wanted to point out that I was conscious not to phrase my question, “What are the mod’s real jobs?” and I am glad no one else has said that, yet.
Maintaing the SDMB is a real job, and I for one have to give them kudos for all the work they do here. This place is so darn huge, we’d never last a day without even one-fourth of the effort they put into keeping this place up. Thanks guys n gals.
Okay, I’ll bite …
I’m a printer. Ever seen those little yellow and white labels that WalMart or K-Mart use in their shelves? I make those. If you’ve ever flown American Airlines and have gotten a curbside boarding pass, I make those too. The company I work for makes thermal printers and my department prints the labels, tags and receipts that they print on. Technically, I run a Mark Andy 4150 series 7 color, 3 die flexographic printing press with an outboard CTC 5 station 3/4" turret rewinder. I like saying that. It sounds impressive.

DrMatrix is an expert eye-roller. His expertise in this area puts him in great demand in these times of heavy irony.
Uke Ike makes patches for smoking jackets and vests from his home overlooking the Gowanus Canal.
manhattan is evil personified. That’s his job and he’s good at it.
I’m really surprised. I mean, I thought manhattan was just a pain in the keester. I don’t know what it pays, but he seemed to be doing pretty well.
Or was he recently promoted from pain in the keester to evil personified? If so, WTG, manny!
And Euty, I will never again be able to see one of those little yellow labels at WalMart without thinking of you. Thanks a lot!
Jerk.
It also says in your profile that you wear a 9 1/2 shoe, but surely that must be an exaggeration as well…
I’m just kidding! Please don’t send me to the void!
Thanks! I got promoted to evil personified (actually, co-evil personified – I have a partner) in December when my old boss retired (It turns out that it is possible for evil personified to retire early and live in Connecticut – go figure).
The up-front raise wasn’t so hot, but the back end can be pretty sweet if it turns out I’m particularly evil over the long haul.
The Mark Andy 4150 with an outboard CTC 5?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Let me know when you want to upgrade to a ditto machine!
The Mark Andy, what a yuck. Isn’t that like dot matrix?
Personally, I prefer the Omni-Mega-Salomunga with dual coupling and the inboard R2D2 ball turret gunner for my printing needs.
Oops, we’ve forgotten someone:

The 4150 is quite a hoss. Let’s see you run one goat boy!
