Mom suffocates son, revives him & DOES IT AGAIN! RO!!!

Of course, I’m all for the near-death penalty for this crazy bitch, then she should be revived, and then get the real death penalty.

I wouldn’t mind if two or three more near-death penalties were thrown in.

Sounds like like somebody should have said something about this stupid lady to child services. Might have saved the kid’s life.

For some reason, the last paragraph rubs me the wrong way:

Well, they may go to great lengths to avenge his death, but I don’t see a lot of effort described in the article to do anything for him while he was alive, namely separate him from his abusive mother.

She was kicked out of two homes (one of them her mother’s) “for the way she treated her son,” but neither of those households were concerned enough to call CPS?

She can carry on a prison romance with the I-ate-my-son’s-eyes-out guy.

I see what you did there.

::chokes up at the thought of true love::

Oh, crap, I wasn’t gonna respond to this thread, but that was funny because I thought the same thing when I read the article.

I blame jazz. Jazz and cubism.

I blame the shortage of easily available medical care and the lack of reasonably priced medications. And the cowardice of people who are aware of abusive parents but lack the guts or concern to make a public outcry. And Dick Cheney.

This inexplicable fact grabbed me, too. How was homelessness supposed to make this self-absorbed woman stop “ignoring the boy and withholding affection”?

A few starving artists would likely agree.

Well now, why didja hafta go and get all serious?

Well, except for blaming Dick Cheney. I just know you weren’t serious about that! :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, yes, I was. Dick Cheney can, with justice, be blamed for everything.

Heh, heh. Now I know who to blame for my sinus infection.

Shoot, and I was all set to blame Hillary. (Although she’s still a suspect.)

What is “RO”?

Recreational outrage.

Okay, and that raises the question, why do people look for stuff on the Internet to get pissed about? Isn’t there enough crap in their everyday lives to annoy them?

I have never understood that as regards this message board.

I think a lot of people just come across it as they’re reading the news. Or Fark.

Thank you. That makes sense. I guess that’s why I stay away from the news as much as I can, except for work. It’s just way too stressful.

YVW. A lot of the headlines I see, I just don’t read the stories. I know I won’t like what I find. :-/
