I’ve got me a chickie in the rotisserie and it’s smelling yummerrific!! Sides will be instant N.O.T.s (don’t judge! ) and sugar snap peas. Pie for dessert.
After our very productive morning, I’ve spent most of the afternoon crocheting and watching Netflix. It was worth it!
I am getting absolutely nothing done because the damn von Leys (the family in my continuing epic) will not shut the hell up. They are working out plot points and world building with little regard to whether I have something I actually need to do, like work or finish this bag I’m crocheting.
Yes, I realize I have gone completely insane. This story is taking over my life.
I wonder if there is a call block option for land lines?
*60 is the standard call blocking code. You can block only six numbers with this, and they can’t be toll-free numbers. I think AT&T charges about $8 a month for this  unless you have some sort of feature bundle, or Uverse, which includes pretty much every possible option.
Rotissed chickie was magnificent as usual. And there’s plenty left over for chickie salad later in the week. I was going to watch news, but it’s all election results and I just.don’t.care.
Howdy. I did not vote. Oh well. I did go see the dr about bum knee. He put another shot in it. It was or is at least twice the size it should be. Anyway, the shot will work for about a week or 10 days. It will get me through my trip to GA this weekend. I did get an order for an MRI and an appt with an orthopedic dr.
I do not remember ever hurting the damn thing. Sux when body parts start going.
I did yet another webinar today. It’s almost one a day here lately. Learning to be a travel agent.
Our weather has warmed right back up like it’s supposed to be. I am prepared to freeze in GA though.
Y’all just jealous because when I got home yestidy there was a message from one William J Clinton, who had called me personally. Once I heard his voice, I got so x-[del]rated[/del]cited that I, uhhh, accidentally pressed the “Delete” button. Flytrap, forgot to mention, we went to see the fishies yesterday.
Some of you may want to cool it on the PSWSLS in favor of this guy, who was there.
Swampy, we did stop at MickeyD’s for a snack afterward, but did not get an FF sand-wich
Voted last week by the mails. Didn’t really know much about the local candidates so’s I voted for those who were running unopposed so it wouldn’t look like I was shirking my patriotic duty too badly. There were quite a few for minor positions. I’ve been here five months now. I really should start learning who are the lesser of the evils locally. (Geez, how’d I get so cynical?)
But that’s not what I came in here for. I came to weigh in on punkin pies and the cooking thereof, for I have learned something very, very important. The trick to a good punkin pie–Now listen carefully–The trick to a good punkin pie is to remember to add the freaking sugar, 'cause if you don’t, not even the dogs will eat it!
A few years back, my MIL make a custard pie and kinda forgot pretty much all the spices and the vanilla. Essentially, she’d made a sugared quiche of sorts. It was horrible!!! And it still didn’t convince her to assemble all her ingredients at once and put them aside as she added them. Wonder where the spousal unit gets his stubbornness??
I just looked at the long-range forecast and it appears we’re heading to Florida at the right time. The end of next week, our highs are supposed to be in the low 40s and our lows in the upper 20s - brrrrrrrr!! I need to remember to leave the heat on for the kittehs. Not gonna be shorts weather in Ocala, but it won’t be as cold as here, theoretically.
Dunno what today will bring. I have to empty the dishwasher, then reload with last night’s dirties. I need to run to Food Lion - we’re almost out of Diet Coke!! Other than that, we shall see.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 51 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 79 for the day thus increasin’ the probability of me leavin’ a jacket somewhere this afternoon.
I read but did not retain. Yestiddy was one of them days for da bear. So, yays, boos, hugs, noogies, wedgies, chitlins, trouts, how you doin’s as needed all around.
Ok, I need more caffiene and of course, to feed rumbly tummy. Then I must commence purtification for irk. Gotta go north this mornin’ but hope to be in the orifice by no later than noon cause what I need to do won’t take too long, but, alas, must be done. Then I shall finish up monthly reports. Ah the excitatement of irk!
They’re saying the s-word in the forecast again for Friday. Do I need to remind the meteorologists that we are in North By-God Kakalak and not Canadia? I think I do.
