(((((Annie and Mr Onimous))))) and another "wot VBob said. I don’t know anything about cancers but if our resident medical expert says it’s not all bad news then that’s something positive to focus on.
Also sending more good thoughts to JDD’s Brother too.
Happy catnip day, Cuervo!
Other than that, I have nothing. I am still ‘meh’ about a few things. Nothing serious, just a ‘meh’ week.
{{{{{Annie}}}}} One of the things that’s affected by chemo is appetite; remember that when he can’t think of any foods that sound appetizing. A lack of appetite doesn’t mean he’s worse, it means he’s on chemo. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
I was talkin’ to JDD about his brother and chemo/radiation therapy. Whatever it is he feels like eatin’ is what we’ll make sure he gets. We figure between the two of us we can keep him fed enough.
Speakin’ of JDD brother, just got off the phone with him. Looks like he’ll be discharged from the horsepistol in a little while. I told him to call and let me know.
Guess I need to go purtify if’n I’m gonna go spring him.
{{Annie}} Any cancer is just scary as hell, but all of my medical friends agree with Bob that lymphoma regularly gets its ass kicked.
For some reason I feel like listening to Monkees music today: right now the iPod is playing “I’ll Be True To You.” Not as good as “Randy Scouse Git,” but I assume that one will come up sooner or later. I’m also looking forward to hearing “I’m Gonna Buy Me A Dog.”
I thought this week was going to be quiet, but now there’s a chance I’ll be going to Baltimore tomorrow morning for a meeting about some freelance work. I’m waiting for the guy I’d be working for to call me back and let me know if the client is available tomorrow morning (it’s the only time this week I can do it). I really don’t want to drive to Baltimore, but it’s a 2-month thing that I can do part-time from home and I could use a little extra money. So, we’ll see how it goes.
You mean the bottom number, right? 'Cause my understanding is that the top number is supposed to be in triple digits.
In monkey news, a monkey has been blamed for agitating a tiger at a Florida wildlife park causing the tiger to jump out of it’s pen and come face to face with a toddler. No one was injured.
Well, his first appointment is September 14th. Now it’s just a wait til that day thing. Thanks again for all the good thoughts. I’ve got my paperwork just in case I need FMLA, but I hope I won’t. They’re willing to work with me as far as taking off for appointments, making up hours, etc.
I tend to have very low blood pressure. At a routine doctor visit a nurse once looked very concerned and asked if I was dizzy or lightheaded. I said it happens sometimes but I felt okay at the time. Considering that doctors make me nervous that was probably a high reading for me. I’d worry that I’m actually a zombie or vampire but I don’t have any cravings for brains or blood.
{{{Annie and Mr.}}} I’m sure it’ll all be fine in the end.
BBBobbio, dude, you really should have taken up another hobby! So, are you going to have to bring in some truckloads of dirt to fill the sinkhole in your yard?
rosie - no chance, chickie - Micky is my boyfriend forever and he said you aren’t as cool as I am so there!
Welcome Babale! Cool name!
Sunday is crabfeast day - yum!! Looks like we’ll be having a bushel - everyone will be there but the sister who doesn’t like crabs and my youngest sis who has to work. Good times ahead!
Burgers and beans for supper, plus whatever dessert-like substance daughter brings home. Thus endeth my exciting Tuesday.
Leaving Tulsa headed to Houston for 20 hours then headed back to Cali…airports airports airports. On the plus side I have Friday off as well! Yay!

I am tired. And hungry. Roll on Thursday…
Vbob - be careful out there. Nothing more embarassing than getting hurt in your own back yard espcially if you have to call your bambulance buddies . Especially that kind of injury
DH has scared the ever loving snot out of medical people. When his BP gets high, it gets HIGH. Like 185/130 high. Seems to run in his family, but a daily something (a generic beta blocker, I think) keeps it in line.
