You have heard of the carbon footprint associated to an activity or product. But how about tracking my money footprint?
To illustrate: suppose I go to the convenience store, purchase a pack of beef jerky and a bottle of sparkling water, and pay for it using a debit card (or via a smartphone, even). How much money did I just make Google? Facebook? Microsoft?
