I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about this company. The fact that they want you to pay 19.95 to sign up for an account is kinda shady to me… but then again perhaps that is their way of making money. I Am interested to hear what you dopers think, and especially if anybody has any personal experience with this company, that would be most appreciated
anything would be helpful
I work at a market research company - we bring people in to give their opinions about whatever, and pay them for their time, but there is NO FEE OF ANYSORT involved in them getting on our recruit list. They just phone and ask and we put them on the list.
If you are in a fairly large center, there will be a similar research house in town. Angus Reid is a good example (AKA Ipsos Reid).
I sure wouldn’t pay to be on these people’s list.
That is my 2 cents.
Al.
I’d be very wary of any offer (web-based or otherwise) that appears to be something for nothing. Of course if you end up giving them something, they give you nothing. Odds are, there are no surveys.
Did you notice how they have a link to CNN, seemingly giving them credibility? I wonder if CNN knows…
Well, from my brief perusal of the site, I thought the customer was paying for (essentially) your company’s phone number, so they could call you and ans and get on the list. But I’ve got to imagine that some of the info this company is selling could be gleaned from a few hours of web research anyway. After all, as you noted, alice, the companies want people to do research for them, so they’re not going to hide.
