Monitor screen goes completey white

Anyone run into this problem before?

Monitor screen goes completely white.
Turn off the monitor for a few minutes and turn back on. Screen is fine.

Pretty sure the computer is ok. Since powering on/off the monitor fixes it.
I hope it’s not the graphics card. Is it possible it’s scrambling the monitor?

totally black I understand. it’s dead. :smiley: but white? :smack:

Problem is getting worse. It was fine for about 20 minutes. Now it screws up within 10 minutes.
I just ordered a new one from Newegg

LCD, I presume?

I have a laptop with this problem, and I was told the failed component was likely the inverter.

yes mine is a LCD. It’s only 5 years old.

Thanks. Glad to know what’s causing the problem. New monitor should be here early next week.
