The same bridges as @snowthx’s photo, but from a different vantage point.
It sounds like something you would spread thinly on toast, like Vegemite.
In Bordentown, NJ, shot two months ago on Kodak Tri-X 400 with an old-school Nikon S3 rangefinder camera.
Ooops - should have been in the other thread, sorry.

Abandoned railway trestle/bridge, used to serve the logging industry in Estacada, OR, and points south. Further down toward Estacada you can still see the old railway road bed, though the tracks have been long gone.
It took me 2 1/2 years to get the shot I wanted. Like Manhattanhenge & Stonehenge it only lines up down the bridge a few days a year. Not only does it, obviously, need to be sunny but it really fogs in in this river valley if dew point is close to temp. This was from one of the foggy busts because by the time the fog burned off enough the sun wasn’t in line with the bridge any more but as busts go its pretty damn good

As I clearly have no significant competitive involvement here (as usual ), I think I’m probably an uncontroversial choice to give the poll a little bump.

I’ll jump in and say it was really difficult to narrow down to 3; there were 5 I really really liked.
Whereas I thought the top choice was clearly head and shoulders above the rest.
I guess not everyone agreed.
I thought the same. To me, one entry was “Wow!”, but they aren’t going to win this month.
I’m wondering why there were 25 entries but only 22 votes? You’d think that at least everyone who entered would vote … and yes, it’s always hard to pick 3. I’m glad we don’t have to pick only one.
In previous months, I’ve entered a photo but forgotten to come back later and vote.
And, I agree, it’s always hard to narrow it down to even three.
Congratulations to @Spiderman! (I believe this is 2 in a row)
You can let us know our August topic within the next few days.

In the spirit of the rules should the back story of any picture be left out of where the picture is submitted? Granted, back stories are interesting, but I thought the submittal is supposed to speak for itself?
Providing the back story can unduly influence the submittal.
In the spirit of the rules I think any back story should only be in the discussion thread. Perhaps we allow a caption, or perhaps no words at all.
Thoughts? What rules shall we live by?
I believe the rule was introduced by the OP because limiting the posts in the thread to one per poster made it easier to tabulate the poll. Thus the second thread for discussion. But adding something written to the picture does not change this, so I think it is OK. Subliminal infuence? Maybe, for better and for worse. And context. I have no objections to that.
I believe this is the way. I would suggest including just a title - and no other words - in the monthly threads.
I would not object to additional posts in the monthly thread, congratulations and such, once the winner has been determined.
