Seldom have the laws of physics been so ruthlessly repealed.
I try so hard to suspend belief, then… product placement… the current thing…sequel setup…video game section setup. Sigh. They make it so hard to have even dumb fun.
But I will get the disk. Baahhhh…
I only saw the first episode. My review is a single word: Bollocks!
So my first thought was … “and Moonfall is what - a video game? A TV series? A movie? Or something else?” But of course, Google can help with that.
It’s a movie, it seems. Okay. Will avoid.
“first episode” of a movie? I must not be awake enough yet, since this doesn’t really make sense to me.
Once again, I have no idea what I’m talking about. I thought this was that show that I watched on some channel, staring those people. About the moon. Carry On!
We all have those moments. I honestly thought there was something I was missing there. Not really awake yet, I just had a cat wake me up and he won’t tell me what he was fussing about.
Oh, it’s a movie. I could describe the scene that finally got my jaw to drop but, you know, spoilers.
Best one line review: Shit sandwich.
(Spinal Tap)
It’s one of those movies that is best used for Honest Trailers, a Pitch Meeting, or just a good apoplectic review.
The best one line review was for the movie From Hell It Came!
“And to Hell it can go.”
Moonhaven. Which, going by the trailers, looks like it violates the laws of physics almost as much as Moonfall. And the laws of stupidity.
I’ve never understand the buying of blue rays and disks when (assuming you have streaming channels) the stuffs like on demand
On demand can vanish at any moment. DH and I favor physical media so we don’t see the content we paid for vanish for market or political correctness reasons.
It is on demand only as long as a company decides to keep presenting it. I also like to keep the number of subscriptions I pay for to a minimum. Buy it once and have it always. It will also always remain the same every time I watch it. Visual quality is set, won’t suffer varying levels of digital compression. I like watching on a large screen. Sometimes video quality can be poor when streamed. No editing it at the whim of the current company that owns it. Words, characters even moral concepts can be edited, censored, from the original.
“Lodi” by Creedence Clearwater Revival . About a town in Ohio although many people have the mistaken belief it is about someplace in California. As if that would inspire a song…
And you expected what from Roland Emmerich, exactly?
ISTM the main difference between Lodi OH & Lodi CA is the temperature and the local accent. Otherwise rural small town is rural smalltown nationwide. Both in 1960-whenever and in 2022.
Complaining about how preposterous the name Fuzz Aldrin was for a cat?
Certainly not calling you out, more curious about the backstory, but do you have a cite for this? I always figured it was the California one, since the band is from nearby.
Wiki says it’s the California one. Lodi (Creedence Clearwater Revival song) - Wikipedia But they could be wrong.
