Yes agreed about wanting to take him down, he is a good target for both sides very few players like him.
I like JayRx1981’s idea reagrding the Trolls definitely potential there, Vol’jin’s promise to kill Garrosh could very well come true.
As to the new Warcheif we all know there is only one leader currently winning land and great victories, ladies and gents I give Lady Sylvannas Windrunner. Please bow before your Queen. Or become Forsaken, either way it makes her happy
Not going to happen i know but it should dammit.
So I found out last night you no longer have to have your fishing pole equipped to fish, no more jumping into a BG with your pole equipped and not noticing for, oh, 20 minutes.
Oh wow, I didn’t know that. You just need the pole in your inventory now? Sweet!
Troof about Vol’jin, he’s a total badass. He’d make a good horde leader. But I’d really prefer if Thrall came back. They’d better not make some panda the new warchief, either!
Sylvanas should never be warchief because of Wrathgate. There’s too much suspicion she may have been complicit with the events that got Saurfang killed.
If Sylvanas was not involved in the Wrathgate, Felipe González never knew a thing about GAL and Ulysses S. Grant never saw an army in his life. Her minions, ah, overstepped their boundaries, but hell yeah she was in it up to the tips of her pointy ears.
I haven’t noticed the fishing thing, my toonies still need to equip the pole - if it’s not equipped, the fishing icon is grey.
The Dark Lady had nothing to do with Wrathgate why would she? She did make a mistake in judgment trusting Putress and she obviously carried on creating the plague against the wishes of the Warchief but she was betrayed too. Using the Blight at the Wrathgate was not going to get her what she most wanted at the time which was revenge against Arthas, everything else was second to that aim.
I just did that with a toon that didn’t have the fish ability in its bars and it did work, was coming to report it. Neat, although I still plan on using the poles for style’s sake plus what the heck, +30 is +30 is +30…
Sylvanas didn’t plan the Wrathgate per se, that was Putress’ showing his hand, but it’s not like he’d been making the green goo behind her back and against her orders: she was ordering it made, against Thrall’s orders.
OK - I’ve double-checked my paladin spellbooks. Word of Glory is available for Protection and Holy paladins, but **not **Retribution paladins.
Makes me a sad pre-pandaria paladin.
ETA: Oh, and the ability that lets you have up to 5 Holy Power instead of being capped at 3 is called “Boundless Conviction”, and is a passive ability gained at level 85.
I’ve honestly never played as anything but Prot/Holy, so I never noticed, but you’re right, that does suck. I’m wondering if they did that, along the lines of Nava’s thoughts regarding forced specialization, in order to keep early level Ret palys from “tanking” in early dungeon content?
Shrug, if the tank leaves and the group wants to go on, it’s still doable so long as the healer has enough oomph and people don’t try to use their own skulls as weapons; retridins already weren’t allowed to sign up as tanks in the pugger. The worst mistake any DM or game designer can make is trying to force players to do what the DM wants - not because the players react badly but because there will always be some who come up with things the DM had not thought of.
I don’t have a Ret Pally but I don’t think this is right, for example if Rets did not have WoG why would their level 10 specialisation say:
Pretty sure WoG is baseline.
To the opposite of Paladins, the Warlock. Before the patch I was adamant I was going Demonology with the new shiny demons again for levelling and PvP but have tried Destruction without a pet and by The Dark Lady it is the most fun I have had without fluids. I catch fire, other people catch fire, I have great burst, a lot of self heals and Chaos Bolt is possibly the greatest looking magic spell in the game.
Re Sylvanas and the Wrathgate/Blight (don’t think we need to spoiler this, moved on from the Garrosh discussion) yes agreed she was producing the Plague against the Warchief’s wishes, in fact she still is for good reasons, but using it at the Wrathgate was a tactical mistake. Sylvanas is a superb military commander who would not make such a schoolboy error, there is no way it would kill Arthas and why kill the cannon fodder that are going to storm his fortress before you get the chance to take him down?
When I played a Warlock, I always said that if I wanted to spec Dest, I’d roll a mage. Admittedly, I haven’t had a max level warlock since… BC probably, a lot has changed since then but I still heard people make the joke in Cat. Have they added anything that makes a dest Warlock feel different from a mage?
… my warlock looks like she’s analyzing which end of you to start ripping off first, my mage like she’s about to whip a batch of strawberry-frosted cake out of thin air (oh wait, she is)? In my case, the mage is and has always been frost*, the warlock is the one who gets to say “BURN, BABY B… ok, you can stop burning now that you’re a tiny pile of ash”.
for arrpee reasons, but also because it’s fun to watch how people’s reactions change along time as the theorycrafting does. Sometimes I get scorned for it, sometimes I get gushed over about it, whatever.
When picking the various talents post-patch, I picked “Eternal Flame” for my level 45 talent. Looking at the tool tip now, I see that Eternal flame says “Replaces Word of Glory”.
So that’s what happened – I hadn’t looked closely enough at “Eternal Flame” to see that it was actually a replacement.
Just tried Eternal Flame out on target dummies - I do automatically heal myself with it if I don’t have a friendly unit targeted, and (which seems to make it a bit better than Word of Glory) there’s no cooldown involved - as long as I have Holy Power available, I can recast it.
Speaking of tanks leaving, yesterday I got an Underbog group. Healer left without even starting. Tank went to town. New healer before we could even finish saying “d’oh”. Tank leaves without starting. New healer asks “anybody got a tanking spec?”; I have DPS or heal but no tanking; anothere DPS is a retridin who’s got a tanking spec but hasn’t set up her bars yet. By the time a tall DK joined the group and started trying to tank we were beyond the hydra and doing swimmingly while chatting… forget about forcing people to specialize, nowadays if you want to do any at-level exploring, experience the questlines and so forth, you have to freeze xp This place used to be scary!
I think for experienced players you are correct but I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a group of 5 levelling their first toons it would still be scary.
My very social guild tried Dragon Soul last night, with the buff as it is we got the first boss down but failed in a couple of attempts at the second. Seeing as most of us were in PvP gear this was a nice thing to be able to attempt and not completely fail at.
