So I played for a while, and the game just didn’t grab me. A week passes by and I notice I haven’t played, and haven’t missed it, so I’m thinking I should probably give this one a miss. So, I try to log on to cancel my account before they start billing me for it, and it won’t take my password. I go to the support page and it won’t take my password, either, nor will it take the “Forgot my Password” hint answer. I email technical support and they are not supportive. I hope to hear from this afternoon when I get home from work, otherwise, tomorrow I start paying $15 a month to not be able to play a game I don’t want to play anyway.
So far, not so impressed.
Wow, that’s totally contrary to my experiences with their customer support.
I would suggest calling your credit card company and having them block payment to NCsoft if you’re not intending to play.
I suspect your account was disabled already by them, rather than rolling over into automatic payments - oddities with your account can cause the support system to automatically bounce your emails. Try peeking at ncsoft.com, and submitting your problem through their website?
Are you sure they took a credit card when you first signed up? When I signed up for my 14 day trial I was never asked for any credit card and jumped right in. It wasn’t until my trial ended over the weekend that I needed to supply the CC info.
I did, by the way, since I did have a blast playing the game, and got my Tanker up to a level 18 and couldn’t just leave him there. Unfortunetly, I guess the powers that be caught up with me and my glorious PornMedic has now been changed to SlopWidth.
Umm, yeah, I kinda keep track of which people want me to give them my credit card number, even when what they’re offering is free… it puts one foot seriously in the grave as far as whether or not I want to subscribe to their service. If they’re not going to bill me, they have absolutely no reason to ask for my credit card number. They might as well ask for my library card number.
Ummm, yeah, I’m kinda just saying it is a bit strange that I wasn’t asked, while you were. I thought it was a legit question.
