More D&D on the SDMB?

Still kicking around some ideas and finalizing things, hope there’s not a huge rush involved here. I should have something put together by Friday PM.

No rush. Friday PM will be just fine.

These days my gaming table uses the HeroLab software for character generation (and in play too, but if you want to save your stuff you have to buy the licence, which might not be practical for y’all in this instance. The demo version is still fine for kicking basic builds about, although it doesn’t include the APG) but back when the campaign started the DM had stumbled upon a pretty nifty automated Excel file to handle the basic stat business.
I’ll try to lay my hands back on it - unlike HeroLab it didn’t do stuff like applying spell, feat or combat manoeuvre modifiers on the fly, and it was tricky to add gear not planned by whoever made the .xls but all in all still pretty neat & useful.

Please do. That would be great!

There it is ! Been updated since last time, too.

What’s our common language?

Italian.

Actually, since you mention that, there will be more languages in more places in this game than in a usual D&D game where a common language is common to the majority of the world. Therefore, everyone gets one extra bonus language.

Calatin is definitely in.

It seems like we are in need of a Cleric. Luckily, Calatin has been looking to prove his self, although fairly inexperienced.

(OOC: Posting to make sure that it’s known that I’m “in.” If I need to flesh out Cal’s backstory, I will gladly do so. Just didn’t want to slam the group with a wall of text.)

Please do flesh it out. I’m excited to see the backstory here!

What level are we starting at?

Hit point determination?

Oh, and Calatin, while a Cleric would certainly be a welcome addition to the party, don’t feel obligated to play one. Between the Alchemist, the Bard, and the Druid, there’s going to be enough healing ability to go around.

As to hit points, roll 'em yourself. I trust you.

Alrighty. I believe I have everything settled out, nuts n’ bolts wise. I typed this up from that javascript program output, since it had way more information than necessary, but if needed I can provide the math for any of the numbers here.

Which weapons do you intend to use, Johnny Bravo? I’ll start you off with non-magical versions of your preferred weapons, plus a magic item of my choosing.
