From his prenup to Marla Maples and other info. The prenup in 93 said he was worth $1 bil but in divorce Marla would only get $1 mil, and they were divorced in 99. Also no child support if Tiffany joins Army or Peace Corps.
Funniest thing was in 1976 he claimed to be worth $200 million but his income was $75k.
If I claimed my net worth was 200 million, and I had it in assets that gave me the princely return of ONE PERCENT, I would have 2 million/year income. Trump claimed $75,000. One twentieth of one percent return.
He’s a liar or one heck of a shitty businessman. **
True, but he has also claimed to be an amazing businessman/investor and to have inherited very little money.
The numbers literally don’t add up. He all but admits he lies but his typical excuses are that everybody does it and it’s smart to lie for tax purposes but also that he doesn’t lie. Basically, expecting a coherent story out of a compulsive (and not particularly bright) liar is kind of dumb.
When NYT revealed those ten years worth of tax returns some pundit calculated that Trump had lost $275,000 a day, every day, every week, for the decade. That takes some kind of talent.
Child support payments of $100k would cease when Tiffany turns 21. The payments would also cease if she got a job, enlisted in the military, or joined the Peace Corps.
Shouldn’t have been too tough for Marla to convince her daughter to stay in school.
I think the idea wasn’t that there was something wrong with the Peace Corps, but that the child support would cease if Tiffany acquired her own means of support, i.e., a job, the military, or the Peace Corps.
Hence the comment about Marla convincing her to stay in school and NOT become self-supporting.
Well, it’s my understanding (from watching a movie with John Candy and Tom Hanks) that the Peace Corps only accepts applicants with a college diploma. And it doesn’t exactly pay a wage that sets you up for return to the U.S., does it?
My SIL was in the Peace Corps circa 1975 and maybe things have changed since then but what she got while in-country was food, shelter, and some pocket money. On returning after two years, something less than ten grand was in her account.
Yes, that’s exactly the same as my daughter about 5 years ago. While serving, she got a small stipend each month. Her host family was paid by the Peace Corps to give her room and board. Upon serving the entire 24 months, she received about 12 grand, IIRC. However, she had to serve the full term, otherwise she would have received nothing.
Reminds me of the movie Brewster’s Millions, where Richard Pryor inherited money from a rich uncle but as a stipulation of the will, he had to spend $30 million in 30 days to inherit it all ($300M total).
Sounds like Trumpster’s Millions would be pretty easy. He’s pretty close to spending that much already.
