More money than salsa

This has to be the bizarrest story I’ve read for a long time.

Hong Kong businesswoman agrees to pay Italian couple US$15.4 million - yes, million - for unlimited salsa classes for eight years.

During one lesson she gets told to “move her arse” and called a “lazy cow”. Purely in a motivational stylee.

She goes ballistic, sues and gets all the money she’d so far paid back.

15.4 million dollars.

She must really like Mexican food.

Did I just get wooshed, or is this actually about dance lessons?

Whooshed so hard it parted your hair.

Swanky. I’ve always had trouble getting a straight part. Thanks for the help.

Evidently couples dancing is very big in Hong Kong. I’ve read that people take dance lessons there the same way that many American businessmen take golf lessons - it’s something you need to be able to do as part of your job.

My ballroom lessons are $90 for four private half-hour lessons, and that covers two people!

That’s almost $5300 per day, if she took lessons 24 hours a day it’s almost $220/hour. If I was the instructor, I’d be worried something fishy was going on. If we useZsofia’s example and lets say the person took 4 lessons each day, it would still be under $300k for eight years.
