They’re from poor quality wire recordings from 1951, but they’re worth a listen. Some are the same as were on the more recent video I posted a link to earlier.
The information is from a post from Jeff Morris on rec.music.dementia.

thanks ! i’ve been a fan of Tom Lehrer ever since a roommate played “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park” to cheer me up.
Ahh! I first heard “The Masochism Tango” played by a guy in the subway about 20 years ago. We were just talking about it at work the other day! I couldn’t remember Lehrer’s name (I’m horrible with names) though, now I can tell my co-worker so she can look for it.
You can’t beat his song of the periodic table, set to a tune from “The Pirates of Penzance”[unless it’s “The Vatican Rag”] I was first exposed to his music about 35 years ago. This was old vinyl records!!! I wasted an entire weekend playing and replaying “The Elements”,trying to write down all the words in the proper order. Even when I accomplished that, I couldn’t sing it. I called his style of singing that song “phonetic athletics”. There’s a great Flashanimation version of the song somewhere, just wish I could remember where.
There’s one here - is that the one you were thinking of?
I love Tom Lehrer’s stuff - thanks for the link, rowrrbazzle!
