More victimhood from Sarah Palin - this time involving "Family Guy."

She wanted to make sure Obama the Kenyan wouln’t be allowed in.

Crude tasteless highly unfunny “humor.”

But that’s “Family Guy’s” raison d’etre. I think Palin can get some traction, perhaps, out of criticizing a political figure for using “retard,” especially one from the party that’s most susceptible to political correctness, but a TV show that reliably makes 18 out of its 22 minute runtime offensive to someone, somewhere? Forget it. This is absurd.

Interesting that Palin complains about Fox’s Family Guy when she just started working for…Fox.

Wonder how that will pan out.

She said her mom was the Governor, so that probably leaves them out.

I’m not sure that it is especially clear which party is most susceptible to political correctness now, if it really ever was.

But this wasn’t making fun of any actual child of any actual person. Unless Palin has a teenaged daughter with Down Syndrome as well as her DS baby, or thought they were saying that one of her daughters was DS as well as the baby, which they clearly were not, then all we have here was an inference. A satirical inference that may have been in poor taste (though tastes are, of course, not really disputable) but that’s all it was.

Or it’s assuming the previous governors were transgendered and making fun of sex change operations. How deep does this rabbit hole go anyway?

Too bad Family Guy is never satirical like Rush Limbaugh, or she might have given them a pass.

If Palin were smart she’d ignore the whole thing, and if some reporter asked her what she thought about it, she’d shrug and say, “Sorry, but I don’t watch the Simpsons.”

But then, if Palin were smart she wouldn’t be Palin.

It would have been hilarious if the Mall of America had taken rigorous measures to ensure that her wishes were met… A security screen around the event. Everyone who wanted to go to her book signing had to produce an original birth certificate. The certificates would have to be scrutinized carefully to make sure they were not forgeries. Anyone without an original (long form) birth certificate would be made to go to a “foreigners enclosure” where they would be surrounded by guards who jeered at them.

If she doesn’t know what magazines she doesn’t read, how will she know what shows she doesn’t watch?

What, a joke on Family Guy that has nothing to do with the rest of the episode? They’d never do that!

This makes sense, maybe they wanted to take advantage of the “retard” “controversy”, they might have only had to change the audio.

I wonder if this will be covered on Fox News tonight, and if so what sort of spin they’ll take toward their Newscorp sister company.

Family Guy hasn’t been funny in years but going out of their way to offend Sarah Palin earns them a mulligan IMO.

Faux will treat them like the Muslims did when Allah was shown in a cartoon.

+1

In fact, it seemed to be intended to mock the mentally handicapped character specifically by associating her with Sarah Palin.

That is, we don’t laugh at the Palins for being retarded; we laugh at the retarded for being Palins.

In any case, Sarah Palin is thinner-skinned than Ross Perot with a bad sunburn wearing 50-grit sandpaper underwear, so she’s Og’s gift to purveyors of tasteless humor like Family Guy.

That should be embroidered, framed and hung somewhere.

She’s an attention whore, but it seems to be working quite well. Keeping her name in the “news” is good for business.

Huh? To me, that’s even more tasteless.

I disagree that people with mental disabilities were being mocked at all.
