More victimhood from Sarah Palin - this time involving "Family Guy."

I’d rather see him be in prison.

It’s pretty obvious what’s going on here. Palin works for Fox. By publicly complaining about a show on Fox, she boosts its ratings even more.

By the way, I find it hilariously psychopathic that Palin still makes people call her Gov’nah. That’s great material for a dominatrix-themed porn sequel to Nailin’ Palin.

  1. “Yes, my baby was born with Downs Syndrome, but that is a private family matter. I’m here to address the issues that face the United States of America.”

  2. “Yes, my baby was born with Downs Syndrome. I hope I can serve as an example to anyone facing a pregnancy with an affected baby who might be considering abortion. One of life’s most wonderfull, enriching experiences is to give and receive love from a child, regardless of disability.”

  3. “Hey, look at me, I have a Downs baby! That proves I’m a good person! Let’s outlaw abortion so we can force everyone to be as good a person as I am!”

which of the 3 above makes one fair game?

A good Palin drone: Aaw waa!

Can you imagine what she would be like as president and how she’d handle the world’s criticism of her policies and life?

Manufactured outrage and crocodile tears are as much Palin’s specialties as offensive satire is Family Guy’s, so this isn’t too surprising. Phony “Woe is me! That a delicate flower such as I should be the victim of the basest liberal bullying!” nonsense has been one of the only reliable ways to keep her front-and-center in the media lately, so we should pretty much expect this whenever any media outlet dares speak her name without her preferred (and equally phony) epithets (“Governor,” for example).

That the reference in Family Guy is ambiguous and doesn’t say what Palin says it does (and I would frankly be shocked if she ever correctly represented any statement in any type of media, ever) isn’t relevant when your stock-in-trade is getting people to feel sorry for you.

Is the qualifier really necessary? I’m sure she could find work outside of the gynecological pathology sub-genre, if she shopped herself around a bit.

Wouldn’t she belong in the FAGILF genre (Former Alaska Governors I’d Like to Fornicate)?

It’s beyond my understanding why anyone would want to nail Sarah Palin; however, I would watch the above if it was a reality show.

I totally want to live in your neighborhood. Would a snowboarding metalhead fit in, or have you already got one?

I thought that protocol was that you always referred to people with the title of the highest office they’d attained (except former (vice)presidents, who you refer to with the highest title they received before their (vice)presidency). I’m probably wrong though.

It’s the perfect formula, make an edgy network centered on popular culture and making fun of traditional ideals and a conservative news network to complain about it.

It’s good form to do so when addressing others. It’s bad form to insist on it when being addressed.

That is to say it’s not wrong, just impolite.

I thought the episode was in poor taste, and I’m a massive Family Guy fan.

The Palin reference was about 1.3% of the poor taste factor, in my opinion.

I never thought of that before but you’re right: it’s a beast that feeds on itself. A demonic, belching, 3-headed Cyclopean beast to be sure, but it’s a genius business model.

That’d be fuckin’ golden.

It’s not just impolite, it’s downright tacky…especially when one has resigned from the office.

I’m still confused by this. I thought titles of office were what you were referred to while you held the office. After leaving office I thought you were referred to as, in this case, former Governor of Alaska Palin*. It seems odd that there would be multiple “Governors of Alaska” at the same time.

*At least that’s how the Wiki article describes the title of Mr. Presidentworks.

I think you should lose the title completely if you quit.

Works for me. She abandoned her civic duty post so she could make money by trading on the very title she abandoned. Why dignify that?

Works for me, too.

Another who subscribes to this notion; if you quit you get nothing.
