Aiiee. I see I’m slipping here. I meant Tower Hill, and since the two stations are connected, I was–naïvely perhaps–assuming that they were topologically equivalent until departure. Well, with no cards, no green tokens, and only one transfer allowance left, I’m nearly in knip. I’m pretty much constrained to the District line until another player proforms a shunt or deadhead transfer.
SDMB play has always included the DLR, with or without Tudor Court rules. So Sunspace’s move stands, IMnshO. Fortunately, there’s no uncertainty in legitimate moves. But I’m not so sure everything Bricker claimed to do would hold up.
And now I see that furryman has a bear. That could put a major twist in this game. Assuming the bear doesn’t cause a station closure or a platform flash mob, I’ll steal a play from JohnT and move Wood Lane. I swap 3 tokens for a prism.
So is there some reason the 2007 Quarterly isn’t in play? (And I should have mentioned that it was the Fall Quarterly - sorry furryman). I’m sorry to dwell on this, and interject into this marvelous game, but I was disqualified in a local match based on the Peruvian bear exclusion and I’d like to know if I went wrong in my arguments.
Oh, you were referring to the Fall Quarterly. I had the Spring Greater London 2007 Quarterly Supplement on my mind. This was the first ruleset to include “flash mob due to a bear” as a separate case from “flash mob in a station.” I shouldn’t be too surprised that the fall supplement excluded Peruvian bears, especially after the Paddington/Victoria/Waterloo incident that occurred just after the spring supplement hit the stands. (shudders at the memory)
After Wargamer’s last move, I have to play long with Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich. Again, the DLR is in play under SDMB practice. So I pick up a bonus ticket for the long station name.
