OK, round two.
Epping.
OK, round two.
Epping.
Whew, that was a close game at the end! Gorilla Man you may have to persuade Iceland_Blue about those triples
It was good play, if rather ungracious I fear.
Oh good show!
Heathrow Terminal 4
From Epping…to Pimlico
Excuse me! Foul Play! You ignored my turn.
I invoke Grimshaw’s contingency - my three moves in hand will be:
West Acton
Northwick Park
Hammersmith
Clockwise moves on the Circle Line will incur Stebbington’s penalty.
I have a little move I’ve been tinkering with, a variation on Shatner’s Bassoon, but borrowing some of the diagonal shunts and passes used in Mycroft’s Canundrum. I’ll start with Mill Hill East.
You’ve walked right into Featherstonehaugh’s Forfeit, blocking alternate shifts; I’m playing Joker on Finsbury Park.
Having taken the three moves in hand forfeit, I am struggling to do well here but never give up
Alperton High Street
Alternats shifts? Have you gone mad? Mill Hill East, under the Earl of Plimmingtons Almanac alternates (which I believe are declared automatically in round two if the first round isn’t won using the Shunt of St. Swithins), allows for the application of a Topwise shunt, which is what I was attempting with my opening move, but, I concede, would be more obvious to the seasoned player with my second move of **Hatton Cross]/b].
Ladbroke Grove!
I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up all night.
Haha! Smithwick’s Sacrifice move gets 'em every time!
Sloane Square, enabling mirrored diagonals under Chisholm’s interpretation.
You think I may make the classic blunder and say North Harrow or make the ancient blunder (that can found in the Canterbury Tales) and say West Harrow, but my move is
HARROW ON-THE-HILL
Oh yeah!
Da ROOF! Da ROOF! Da ROOF is on FIRE!
There are two main moves here one of which leads to a dead end, the other into a nice fast contest on the run-in. And I can never remember which is which. I’m gonna stick my neck out here
Yiewsley
Was I right? :dubious:
Oh come now; you’re setting up a classic Piggot’s Pincer - that one is as old as the hills.
Ravenscourt Park.
Yes I was right
Angel
(My move, not a comment on other players)
I’m dying to know the backstory here! I’m guessing it’s
London tube routes and stations?
No move yet; I’m picking my moment, just thought I’d point out that the famous and spectaculat Nolder’s Endgame is still possible at this point.
