If a mosquito bites an intoxicated person, does the person’s blood alcohol content affect the mosquito in any way? Does the mosquito metabolize the alcohol somehow? Or does it flitter around drunk? Die? Just wondering if all the frat parties in town are somehow contributing to a reduction in the mosquito population…
The alcohol concentration in the blood of a person who is going to live without medical intervention is less than 3/4 of a percent.
In contrast even lite beer contains >3% alcohol.
IOW a what a mosquito drinks wouldnt even be defined as alcoholic by law. Even with a massive bloodmeal from someone who has passe dout drunk the mosquito would probably be getting the equivalent dose to what you would get drinking half a lite beer.
