Nellie from Little House on the Prarie and Dr. Smith on Lost in Space. Both of them should have been killed.
Alison Arngrim, the actress who played Nellie, does (or did) a stand-up routine based on the premise of being an ex-C list actress. She would talk about playing Nellie and how it affected her. Her answer: “Somebody has called me a bitch to my face every single day of my life since I was 12 years old.”
That’s too bad, of course people need to separate the character from the actual person. If she’s halfway “normal” after that experience, she’s doing good.
Post #44 and only now someone is bringing up Heather from Blair Witch Project?
Patrick, from Spongebob Squarepants.
Spongebob is pretty annoying as well, but at least he’s well-meaning, loyal, hard working, and frequently smart. Patrick is stupid, selfish, lazy and ill-tempered, and for the life of me, I can’t imagine why anyone would want to maintain a friendship with him (not that I am attempting to genuinely analyze a children’s show).
i looked at Rebbecca and thought: she gave up being Saavik for this?!?

I think Patrick is the best part of the show.
Now as for who bugs the hell outta me…Percy Whetmore from The Green Mile.
HATED!!!..HATED!! that character in the movie…
But…I loved the acting, any actor that can make me hate him so much deserves another look.He was in The Chocalate War and I am Sam,likeable roles in both.
If you hate the role,it might be cause the actor kicks ass.
Peggy Hill sux.
What, no Burke from Aliens?
I could never understand why Dr. Smith wasn’t tossed out the nearest airlock.
How about Nedry from Jurassic Park?
If you want annoying from Spongebob, try Pearl (Mr. Crab’s daughter.)
Agreed. OTOH, Hank Hill must die, preferably by some means lingering and humorous involving propane and propane accessories.
As an actor, I’ve heard (no cite) he only got the part by being the director’s bum-boy.
Which reminds me of Janice (Chandler’s sometime GF) from Friends. Have they got some kind of Annoying Girls’ Finishing School in Queens, or what?!
Both the husband and wife on King of Queens are on my all time hate list. I only watched a few episodes, but those two were always scheming something, each trying to take advantage of the other. Jerry Stiller I just can’t stand as an actor, either, in anything I’ve ever seen him in.
Well, it’s not you. That’s why it’s funny.
[QUOTE=The Tof]
Meh. He’s no more loathesome than any spoiled upper-middle-class teenage male. Lazy, impulsive, an arrogant know-it-all when he thinks at all (but he is sometimes interested in thinking for its own sake, which puts him one up on his Dad, anyway), too easily knocked about by life – all rather to be expected. The important thing about him is that, unlike all of Tony’s business associates and even Tony himself, there’s nothing in AJ that’s mean.
Easy. Because Will and the Robot were interesting characters only as foils for Smith, and the rest of the cast were as interesting as an untoasted slice of Wonder Bread with cold butter.
Any character played by (in no particular order):
[ul]
[li]Adam Sandler[/li][li]Rob Schneider[/li][li]Ben Stiller[/li][/ul]
Ben Stiller almost gets a pass for “Mystery Men” since Mr. Furious is meant to be a deeply annoying and unlikeable character – excellent casting I feel.
Okay, I’m nearing the end of the first season now and I’ve gotta take this back. She’s obviously a lot more than the perpetually grumpy old nag she was made out to be in the first few episodes.
God damn this show is good! I should have gotten to it sooner. Wait, no. Then I wouldn’t have anything good to watch now.
Well, Nedry’s a villain who gets his just comeuppance. Yes, his uppance did come. ance up he came. Etc. My point, and I do have one, is that with Nedry you got a resolution to your feelings of hatred. “Oh,” you thought upon seeing his firist scene, “I do hope that guy gets eaten by a T-rex.” Then, during his death scene, it’s “Oh! he’s being eaten to death by dozens of tiny dinosaurs, so it lasts longer. Cool!”
