Most annoying TV and movie characters?

If Kramer was my neighbor, I’d be in jail for murder right now.

Everything about George Costanza can be forgiven when you consider ***his parents. ***Two of the most annoying characters ever. And I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them annoy the hell out of each other at every opportunity.

Heh heh. That’s what I said when I first started. And now that I’ve watched them all, sometimes I say to myself, “If only I’d watched them slower…I’d have new episodes to watch now!” Sigh.

Andy, the brother-in-law from According To Jim. I know, some of you are going to say every character in the show is annoying and nobody is going to admit to actually watching it, but I do, so what the hey?

He is the stereotypical overweight loser nerd who can’t hang onto a girlfriend for more than six weeks. He’s continuously disrespected at work by Jim, when he is a competent architect who can work for anyone and make big bucks. He could probably even start his own business, but he takes Jim’s guff because he’s family despite the fact that he and Jim clearly have a strong friendship.

I’m glad to see that this season Andy has a girlfriend who truly seems to love him for what he is. I hope next season the relationship leads to a trip to the altar for him and he finally gets some real happiness instead of bitching about being alone with his Star Wars toys again on Friday night.

Carmela’s sausage lasagna, with whole basil leaves in the layers (which, by the way, is absolutely wonderful - I stole that idea from The Sopranos).

Most of Indy’s women were annoying, shrill harridans. I thought the Nazi chick was best…tough, no-nonsense girl, and hot to boot. I didn’t like the brunette, either, trying to be so tough for no earthly reason and coming off as a total bitch.

That sentence doesn’t make any sense. Are you saying that killing Cosmo Kramer would be wrong? If so, why? :dubious:

I hate tricksters, and I hated the Q.

I found the whole premise of Q ‘wanting to experience what it was like to be human’ as ridiculous as the notion that I would want to experience what it’s like to be a hamster.

When did Q express a desire to be human? He thought humans were idiots; he was turned into a human as a (quite effective) punishment.

Titus’ Dad in Titus was annoying, nasty and mean.

I don’t recall the episode(s) but it’s clear in my memory. Mind you, I could be wrong. I was wrong once before.

It’s ringing bells in my head, too. Seems there was an episode that he wanted to be human. But I can’t remember and it’s been a long time since I watched anything but the movies.

I think you’re conflating some episodes or characters or series or whatever.

I can the John deLancie Q getting turned into a mortal and thinking it sucked.

I can recall him wanting to do Janeway, which I thought was quite reasoable; I’d do her too, only his reason was so that she could bear him a little Q baby to annoy the continuum.

I can recall another Q desiring to be allowed to die, which is sort of like wanting to be human, but not really.

I can recall the Olivia d’Abo Q raised as a human having to decide which race she wanted to be. Now that I think about it, that’s the closest example I can think of; her parents wanted, at a minimum, to get out of the continuum and chose life as humans as their exit.

But I defy anyone to point to the John deLancie Q ever wanting to be a meatbag.

Three’s Company had Larry & both the Ropers, and later Mr. Furley.

I don’t feel too terribly embarassed to admit that I watch this show, but Andy is my favorite part and I watch it in spite of the whiny wife character. Good god, does that actress have any other reactions in her reperatoire than “Awwwwwww, honeeeeeeeeeeeey” squeaked out in that mousy voice? Gack, what a totally unappealing woman / character.

Yeah…he was a perfect copy of my father. Only difference is I got left with the mom in the divorce.

Aha! I think I was conflating the “Q gets turned into a human” episode with this one:

We have a winner.

Nedry was eaten by a lone Dilophosaurus. In a Jeep. It was the annoying jerk in JPII who got eaten by the Compsagnathusususes.

Of course, Burke’s uppance came as well. So there’s that, too.

This, of course, is complete lunacy  .

I happen to love, love, love Green Acres. I’m convinced it is the very pinnacle of Western Civilization and is, in reality, extremely subtle, nuanced, and a show of incredible depth.

Either that, or I was usually so baked out of my head that it seemed that way at the time.
