I’ll agree with either of these too, and I also agree that Diana Rigg on The Avengers is the gold standard, but I still think Pauline Collins from the Upstairs, Downstairs/*No, Honestly *period had something really special.
Also, just to toss something from right field, Julia Louis-Dreyfus from the Seinfeld years.

While I never saw much in Calista Flockhart previously, I am warming up to her in this series. And I had the hugest crush on Helen Slater when the Supergirl movie came out.
For actresses in current series I will nominate Lindsey Morgan from The 100, Laura Prepon from OTNB, & Cassidy Freeman from Longmire.
For actresses in older series I nominate Kristin Kreuk from Smallville, Kate Jackson in The Rookies, and Lindsey Wagner in The Bionic Woman.

I never got the love for Diana Rigg. While definitely an attractive woman, she always looked like a not-quite-so-pretty version of Mary Tyler Moore to me.
That’s interesting, as I never got the love for Mary Tyler Moore, whose mouth is too big and voice is very annoying.
I must admit, I find very few TV actresses from before the 80s attractive at all.
That’s because their styles look dated.
No, I mean I didn’t find them attractive at the time. Movie actresses, singers and models, yeah, but not TV women. Exceptions - Joanna Lumley as Purdey, and various Star Trek guests (but none of the main cast women)

Speaking of which, Paget Brewster, the first few years she was on Criminal Minds was pretty neat. Also, an actress named Lisa Darr, who most people probably won’t remember, played Ellen’s girlfriend after the coming out episode on Ellen. I thought she was pretty hot, and even though she’s straight, she and Ellen had great chemistry.

Stefanie Martini as Jane Tennison in the British TV series Prime Suspect. Tough to beat in my opinion. I’ve never seen the series but the promos on PBS sent me Google image searching!
I first noticed her in one of the last episodes of The Sopranos. Tony goes to Las Vegas looks her up (I think she was one of Christopher’s girls), they do mushrooms and go to a casino.
