Most attractive movie character

I just watched Lost in Translation for the 2nd time and I had to shout it to the world: Scarlett Johannsen’s character in that film is absolutely stunning. I was in rapture every moment she was on screen.

Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca ranks a close second, but I think Johannsen in Lost in Translation has to be my #1. It’s curious because I haven’t found her as attractive in other roles; I think it’s a combination of her natural beauty and the attractiveness of her character in that film.

Who’s your favorite? Happy to hear male/female/other. Also curious if you find that it’s film-specific, the way I do, or do you like a certain actor in anything.

Imagine hanging out with Audrey Hepburn’s Princess Anna in Roman Holiday. Sigh…

Courteney Cox in Cocoon: The Return.

Three right off the bat:

Keira Knightley in Pride & Prejudice. I still haven’t quite recovered from the crush I developed when I saw her in that movie: http://data.whicdn.com/images/10915602/Pride_And_Prejudice_46229_Medium_thumb.jpg

Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca, definitely: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-0gDLpiOq1lM/TXEzSrTBL5I/AAAAAAAAEXA/AtRiJUp9aeM/s1600/ingrid%2Bbergman%2Bcasablanca%2B2.jpg

And rounding out the trifecta would be Donna Reed in It’s a Wonderful Life: http://i.realone.com/assets/rn/img/6/0/4/1/12921406-12921409-large.jpg

Natalie Wood in The Great Race.

Plus one on Donna Reed especially if you narrow it to the one scene by the fire when she says “Welcome home Mr. Bailey”.

You know how to make me smile, my friend.

Madeline Stowe’s character Dr. Katherine Railey from the Sci-Fi/Time Travel film “12 Monkeys” was possibly THE Perfect Woman; She was absolutely physically stunning, well educated, financially affluent, open-minded, independent, and above all, still single…

Kate Winslet’s character in anything, but specifically in Titanic.

Ava Gardner in The Killers (1946)

Honestly? Karen Allen as Marion Ravenwood in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Ah, yes. Smart, spunky, beautiful, and could definitely hold her liquor: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EABuPIKLAtM/S4C62fnfcbI/AAAAAAAADGQ/t0eYfZDj4j8/s200/Marion+Ravenwood.jpg

Yes, I think I am faintly in love with her in that movie. I honestly don’t think anybody else in this thread comes close.
ETA: It’s funny, I think Marion is rather plain and not pretty at all, and I don’t much like her personality. Still, she’s far better than Screeching Lady in the other movie.

She’s great in Raiders, but I really fell in love with her character in Starman.

Name your second, you scurvy dog!

Grace Kelly in Rear Window. Her entrance is amazing.

I don’t need any seconds. Pistols at dawn!

Audrey Tatou in Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain and Emily Blunt in Wild Target.

Ewan McGregor playing Christian in Moulin Rouge. For the longest time I kept renting other Ewan McGregor movies and feeling vaguely disappointed until I realized it was the character I felt so attracted to and not the actor.

I love a man who sings and dances. When will Hugh Jackman make a musical dammit? (a movie I mean, I can’t be affording Broadway tickets).

Funny about the OP, I usually think Scarlett Johansson is pretty darn attractive, but I couldn’t believe how well she was hiding it in Lost in Translation.

Lana Turner in The Postman Always Rings Twice. Her first scene has to be the most stunning entrance in movie history.
