Guess you missed the opening credits. She wasn’t hiding much. ![]()
Oh, I forgot I could pick males, too. Let’s see, I loved Jude law’s Watson. Everything about him attracts me - his clothing, his attitude, his demeanor, everything.
Viola (Gwyneth Paltrow) in Shakespeare in Love.
Peter O’Toole in almost anything, but most enthusiastically in Lawrence of Arabia.
A close second: Yul Brynner in The King and I.
Finally, Orlando Bloom as Legolas.
Oh, yes. I watched that movie strictly to see smoldering looks pass between him and Omar Sharif. Plot? What plot?
you’re welcome.
I’d rather hang out with Holly Golightly, thank you very much.
People forget these days just how insanely, ridiculously, thought-rattlingly hot Salma Hayek was in Desperado.
More recently, staring at the woman the whole time and barely following the movie at all: the woman who played Geroge Clooney’s Italian prostitute girlfriend in The American. Violente Placido. Holy crap.
Sara McDowel (played by Victoria Tennant) in L.A. Story; smart enough to get all the jokes, and see through them at the same time. Took a bit too much effort to win her over in the end, though.
She had the potential to surpass that in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, but played the character all wrong.
This is a good example. I’ve never been really drawn to Paltrow, in real life or in other roles, but man, she is amazing in this role.
I know it’s not a movie, but I had an incredible crush on Angela Chase in “My So-Called Life”. I’ve seen Claire Danes in dozens of other roles, and never had the same reaction to her.
I’ll see your Violante Placido, and raise you a Monica Bellucci (Persephone) in The Matrix Reloaded: http://content9.flixster.com/question/17/54/08/1754087_std.jpg
For me it was Halle Berry in the 1992 Eddie Murphy movie, “Boomarang”. My Gawd was she ever gorgeous in that. Not that she’s exactly hideous now either, of course.
She was pretty hot in From Dusk Till Dawn too but then she turned into a vampire and my interest flagged.
It doesn’t get much better than Marlon Brando in A Streetcar Named Desire.
Zooey Deschanel from 500 days of summer and the Gretschen character from Donnie Darko, would make lovely company for a fortnight in a hotelroom.
Orlando Bloom as Legolas. Every other movie I’ve seen him in, he does absolutely nothing for me.
Val Kilmer in Oliver Stone’s The Doors. Yum yum.
The first to come to mind for me when I saw the thread title.
Sigourney Weaver in Alien. Or in Ghostbusters or Aliens.
Zooey as Trillian in Hitchhiker’s Guide. 2 posts about my favorite actress in 1 minute-woot!
