So, I’m checking my voicemail messages, and the first one does not have an identified sender or return number. It is a message from a young sounding woman or girl. Sadly, I cannot fully replicate the oddness that this message conveys (if anyone knows how to record/forward from a Verizon voicemail system I’d love to post a link), but it starts out something like this:
[Says indistinct name] from Hungary
Then some sort of high pitched yipping (about five times)
Then several seeming random operatic notes, a la Kate Bush
Then final an orgasmic sounding sigh
Then she hangs up.
The whole thing is maybe 5-10 seconds long.
The call does sound long distance, and possibly came in via an 800 number (this is a message left on my business voice mail about 10:30 pm on Friday night). Any possible explanation or interesting theories would be useful.
