Most deadly TV series small town??

My two votes are for:

“SMALLVILLE” SMALLVILLE, KANSAS
Seems like a murder here every (season) week . .in a town of 10,000 people. Thank God for Clark Kent.

“IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT” Sparta, Mississippi
See above. Poor Carroll O’Connor sure didn’t seem to be able to reduce the crime rate here.

I guess honorable mention for Twin Peaks, WA.

Any other small TV towns that seemed to have a murder every other week???

Don’t know if there was a murder every week, but Trinity, SC (American Gothic) was a very sinister town.

An excellent show that ended way too soon.

Sheri

I know she travelled a bit, but Angela Lansbury’s character in ‘Murder She Wrote’ solved a different murder every week. Wouldn’t you be a bit suspicious about a mystery writer who just happened to be present at 264 murders? I seem to recall that there was one town that a good portion of the episodes were set in.

Rome Wisconsin, from Picket Fences comes to mind. Lots of people died there, sometimes in very interesting ways (e.g. spontaneous combustion).

What with all the vampires, demons, hell-gods, giant bloody snales and all.

Or snakes even.

Murder She Wrote was set in Cabot Cove, Maine, with exteriors shot in Mendicino, California (sometimes at least), sometimes known as Spendicino. It’s where people from San Francisco go pretend to be tourists.

…;)[sup]Dodge City[/sup]

St. Mary Mead. Home of Miss Marple - and, by the end of her career, almost nobody else.

Jessica Fletcher might be the worst serial murderer in American history.

A UK one , Holby from the BBC tv series casulty really really horrific living there , off my head they have had:

#2 plane crashes

#3 train crashes

#major numbers of druggie children

#a house fire nearly everyweek

#at least 2-3 car crashes everyweek

Actually, the pilot episode showed the population sign at 24,001 in the flashback and “today” reads 45,001. Still, thank God for that 1.

The sign should read something like 44,987 or something by now.
