Most dominating player in video game history?

I have to third, fourth, whatever the Tecmo Bo. Ridiculous. There was really no point in playing with another person if one of you got him on your team.
Oh, and it’s Orel, with an e, not Oral.
Tubolard from Ice Hockey for Nintendo? No way, it was all about the skinny guys. Get a team of those four and you could skate circles around the tubbies.

He was definitely tough. Big Boss Man, fortunately, could use is headbutt against him. Plus you could trap him outside the ring (which was the main fun of the game anyhow, imho). Plus, there was a bug in which, during the first match against him, if he beat you with a submission move, you’d still advance (at least sometimes).

I know, I know. The thing was, because none of the throws worked on him, and none of his moves ever failed, you had to be reeeally careful fighting him. With Dibiase, at least there was the chance that you could get a few lucky grapples and wear him down quickly. With Andre, you had to chip, chip, chip away with whatever dependable 1- and 2-bar moves you had (Randy Savage’s flying clothesline worked wonders), always stay on the move, and avoid letting him grapple you, ever, because once he did, that was IT, baby. Not the Legion of Doom, not Titan Morgan, not even Great Puma had the sheer oh-my-god-what-the-hell-do-I-do-against-this-guy factor that Andre did.

Little footnote: For the rom, my favorite team is always Andre the Giant and Big Boss Man. Grapple with Andre and win, submission move, whole lotta buttsplashes, tag in BBM, wait for the opponent to get up, irish whip, Boss Man Slam, cover, and bring Andre in to swat away the annoying little teammate who rushes over for the save. (Winning with Andre or Ted always results in a game over, which is why the tag is necessary.) Won about 40 matches like that so far.

One more nominee (this one’s a bit obscure).
Hard Court Henry, Paddle Mania - Sammy Set’s a bit tougher overall, and the surf team is by far the most harrowing match…but nobody had me tearing my hair out more than Henry. NOTHING gets by him. Blast it straight down, bounce it off a wall, go up front and hammer away, work from side to side…and he’ll get to it every time. Scoring on him is sheer luck, and the odds are incredibly steep; one time it took me four matches to get one…one!..goal against him. Oh, better make sure he doesn’t put one up on you, either.

Tecmo Bo was awesome.

Tom Chambers in one the Sega Genesis EA Sports basketball game was unstopppable. I think the game was Bulls v. Lakers.

At least 1 player on every team had a special move. When you took a shot from a certain area of the court, they would do their move. Tom Chambers had this double-pump dunk from the three-point line that never missed. It had to be a bug in the game. Other players would sometimes miss their shot, but the Chambers dunk never missed and strangley, there was never a swish sound. There wasn’t any sound.

I am sorry, the freakish Tom Chambers move was in Lakers v. Celtics

Uhhhh… what? How do you play as Andre?

Bo knows.

Then again, he wasn’t the only badass in Tecmo Bowl. Try to stop Walter Payton from jumping over your line into the end zone. Go ahead. Try.

Barry Sanders was just about unstoppable too and Steve Young did not miss a hail mary, not matter who the receiver was.

MaxTheVoll - Roms, good buddy. Codes. Can do all kinds of things that weren’t possible in the arcade version.

Just about every game with “bosses” has some kind of code to play as them. Sometimes it’s a blast, sometimes it’s no big deal, too often it’s not worth the effort.
