Most embarrassing songs on your iPod?

Tucked in between all the ernest sixties rock, arcane acoustic stuff and weird psychedelic shit, I have Hips Don’t Lie by Whatsherface and I Need to Know by Whathisname.

Speaking of Hips Don’t Lie if you’re a Danzig fan check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHv3qO_Y8kk (a little bit of T&A) It’s supposed to be a joke but it’s so damned compelling.

Color Me Badd’s All For Love. My kid calls it “the happy song” and we bop together to it when I’m driving. The other day I pulled up for takeout and was mortified when the lady on the speaker commented on it.

The Theme to Wonder Woman

Six versions of Rose’s Turn (Ethel Merman, Rosalind Russell, Angela Lansbury, Tyne Daly, Bernadette Peters & Patty Lupone)- and my mother swore she never suspected

Some of These Days by Sophie Tucker

Put Your Shoes on Lucy (a 1940s novelty song that I’ve loved since boyhood)

I’m shocked that some folks have good music - ABBA, Elton John, etc. - and are embarrassed by it!

Having said that, I think I have a few that meet the criteria:

“Danger” - Mystikal
“Xanadu” and “Physical” - Olivia Newton-John
“Wired for Sound” - Cliff Richard
“Two to Make it Right” - Sweet Seduction

I have a playlist with 86 assorted Depeche Mode songs and remixes. I also have “All Your Base are Belong to Us”.

base base base base base base base base base base base base base base base base base base you have no chance to survive make your tiiiimmmeee!

I’m embarrassed to admit that’s a great song. They were corny as hell but they had some good harmonies and catchy tunes.

I have “Seasons in the Sun,” for which I blame all of you. Since it was so lambasted on the “Worst Song Ever” thread, I had to see what people were talking about. Sadly, my iPod seems to love it, as it comes up a bit when I have it on random…

Icerigger, those songs rock! No 80s synth-pop collection would be complete without them. They are on my iPod too, next to the Thompson Twins, Heaven 17, and Haircut 100.

I also have “Lost In Your Eyes” by Debbie Gibson.

When I saw this thread, I thought of that and thought I could win it in one, but after seeing some of these songs I’m not sure Ms. Gibson even gets me an honorable mention!

You win. I once heard a classic rock DJ intro this song by saying “and now…the undisputed King of Rock 'n Roll: Tommy Roe” and I almost crashed the car laughing.
