Most embarrassing written double entendre?

Reminds me of a headline about a woman who beat off an attacker.

One of the projects we’re working on is writing (and re-writing) English-langauge fliers and catalogs for an electronics company. Recently, we’ve been working on a series of fliers giving tips on how to iflm good home movies in different situations. The one for today was about fliming school sports events.

“Let’s shoot children playing baseball”

Dear Og did I want to send that one along as-is…

My oldest son is a competitive swimmer at the high school and in summer league. Like many swimmers he has specific swimming strokes and races that he prefers and one that he somewhat dislikes, because he isn’t particularly effective at it.

The strokes/races in summer league are:

Free
Back
Breast
Fly
IM (Individual Medley)
Free Relay
Medley Relay

At a meet an individual swimmer is only allowed to swim up to 3 individual events and two relays. Some kids swim less than races, but no one swims more.

There are computer programs that decide based upon a swimmers best times in each race, what races it would benifit the team the most for them to swim. Usually the fastest swimmer in a stroke is best for the team to be in that race, but not always. Additionally, the computer selections can be changed by a coach.

My son loves to race and is quite enthusiastic when talking about sports and racing or competing. At the moment in question he and I are alone in the care and he’s quite wrapped up in grousing about not being in a race for which he has best times for his age group and says:

(Surely you saw this coming?)
“… and I’m a breast man. I should be in that race. I dunno what’s wrong with the computer or why the coaches didn’t catch it and change it…” and keeps right on talking not realizing what he’s said. (He’s 16 so he’s definately old enough that if someone else had said it he’d have realized and laughed or blushed.)

I of try to keep a straight face as I think… “so’s your dad.” (Who is not a competitive swimmer.)

Oh and he did end up swimming breast and placing in the race.
