Most obscure/surprising show on DVD?

I was reading this list of rare TV shows coming out on DVD, and even considering the website the obscurity of shows mentioned surprised me. I mean, you have to have a strong memory to remember “The Barbara McNair Show” or “CPO Sharkey”, much less want to purchase them. What DVD releases have surprised you due to the obscurity of the titles?

WTF??? Don Rickles was awesome as CPO Sharkey! I loved those scenes with his tall assistant!

I’ll tell you a show that I have on DVD that is kinda obscure (but that still cracks me up): Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp!

CPO Sharkey was hardly an obscure show. It was Don Freakin’ Rickles after all.

He was on one of the last Letterman’s and Dave did the obligatory plug for the DVD. There was a big audience reaction to the mention of the show.

People remember.

The thread title says ‘obscure/surprising’. I guess it is a little surprising that “CPO Sharkey” is being released on DVD.

I’m surprised that “Amos 'n Andy” hasn’t gotten a classier release. All the DVD sets that are available seem a bit dodgy.

I loved that show! Didn’t he have a girlfriend name Lana?

Her name was Mata Hairy, IIRC.

I can’t believe that they released I’m Dickens, He’s Fenster on DVD.

They are grey-market releases.

“Pink Lady and Jeff”, considered to be one of the worst tv shows ever (Fred Silverman: “Two women are popular singing duo in Japan? Sign them to host a variety show! What do you mean they do not speak English?”) got a DVD release a few years ago. It’s now out of print and used copies are $107 on Amazon.

I’d watch that again. John Astin’s show before Addams Family, and pretty funny.
