I thought the most pointless Google doodle ever was when they celebrated the anniversary of the paper hole puncher, but I think this is a new height in pointlessness.
I just Googled that. And not every day can be the Treaty of Ghent.
I do so love celebrating Treaty of Ghent Eve with my family, the day before Christmas Eve.
Aren’t the holidays long enough?
There is NOTHING pointless about Dachshunds. Except maybe their tails. And their noses are kinda pointy.
I watched that Google dachshund video and got carsick.,

My only disappointment with that doodle is that when I clicked on it all the picture did was enlarge. I wanted to buy the bobblehead.
I did just get something today that made me smile, and have tears a little too. My BIL gave me a face mask that my sister, who died on Saturday, must have got for me as a Christmas stocking stuffer. It has dacshunds all over it.
If you look at the background scrolling by, it appears to go on for several minutes without repeating. I was wondering if it went on long enough, they’d pull off for a bathroom break.
I, for one, enjoyed today’s Google Doodle. Not only does the background seemingly go on forever, if you move your mouse over the Dachshund s/he smiles, tongue and tail wagging, with hearts flying in the background. Move the mouse away and the smile stops. The longer you keep the mouse away, the sadder s/he looks. After a couple of minutes s/he is downright depressed, but move the mouse back and s/he returns to all smiles and hearts. Kinda cute. No, I don’t own a dachshund, and yes, I’m easily amused.
