Mother Tsarnaeva

I know she is an easy target (and, for that matter, pop as well) and I really have been trying to hold off. Honestly, I have. But, the latest revelation - that Mother Tsarnaeva discussed jihad with her now dead son, admittedly only in a “vague” manner - has pushed me over the brink*.

*this being the Pit and all, I won’t bother to give cites for this fact or for any of the others I refer to.

I will be brief:

She shoplifts, allegedly, then flees back to the land where not too long before it had been so unsafe for her and her family, that she dared not venture outside. The place they had to flee as refugees! She would rather return to that hell than face a shoplifting charge in the US. Hmmm.

Father Tsarnaeva had indeed applied for and received refugee status in order to allow him and his family to emigrate. After all, they were all in danger over there. Odd then that ever so untroubled, he goes back! To live! Yes, back to live in the face of the clear and present danger. The place he needed to flee from.

During their time here, the family collects welfare. Not a crime, and not something to be criticized for. BUT, it sure makes mom’s current criticism of the US and its system awfully precious.

And, of course, her rants about how her boys were set up notwithstanding the mountain of evidence she is very much aware of (which includes, supposedly, a confession, not to mention the kidnapped Mercedes SUV driver as an eye-witness and, of course, the reams of video evidence). Now I understand that she’s shocked, probably not thinking straight, upset with a capital ‘U’. Still, with the latest revelation, we now know that she knew Tamerlan was heading toward the ‘infidels can’t be tolerated camp’. Ergo, her grief notwithstanding, I think she is disingenuous bitch and a fitting target for a spot in the Pit.

Lame. Even more lame that you believe Russians.

Are you contesting the claim that the conversation included “vague discussion of jihad,” which comes from a US source, or suggesting that the Russians manufactured the communication entirely? If the latter, what would Russia have to gain from doing this?

Well, anything that makes Chechnyans look bad has to be attractive.

It’s 50/50. Which means, Russians gain half of whatever they were supposed to gain.

On a serious note, umm, gee, I don’t know, Russians, such a fine bunch of comrades throughout 20th century they wouldn’t hurt a fly. I thought about it and couldn’t come up with anything. Especially given that these are Chechens - I mean, Russians and Chechens, isn’t that a thriving relationship or what, Grozny flattened several times in a row overflowing with blood, notwithstanding.

Did you know that the main street in Grozny (capital of Chechnya) is now called “Putin Avenue”?

And these are the people who “reported” this guy to FBI? :smack:

[Detective Mills]Maybe you’re just sitting around, reading “Guns and Ammo”, masturbating in your own feces, do you just stop and go, “Wow! It is amazing how fucking crazy I really am!”? Yeah. Do you guys do that?

Looks like we have a badass here.

Move everybody, some deep shit is being referenced here.

This is kind of fun. We do not typically get posters from whichever benighted eastern european chamber of horrors region newcomer hails. For an anglophone, reading his posts are like opening up a window into another dimension.

Particularly bizarre aspects of his worldview that I have noticed are:

  1. He exhibits distrust and contempt of whatever nationalities and ethnic groups have historically proved hostile to his

            and

  2. He fucking hates everything about Jews.

I’m aware that the relationship between Russians and Chechens is not all sunshine and roses. I’m asking what, specifically, would be the payoff in giving the US a falsified communication between a Chechen mother and her son who is already dead.

So far, there is no evidence of a larger conspiracy. Is there an expectation that the US might invade Chechnya to bring a fugitive shoplifter to justice?

Yeah, now we’ll really let the Russians run roughshod over Chechnya!

Which is totally different from what’s been happening there for the last 15, 20 years …

I’m with Karl here even before all the details he has noted. Don’t fucking blame America for turning your kids into bombers. Yes I suppose if they had become TEA PARTY bombers or something you might have a point.

But thats NOT what they had become. They had become “hate fucking America” bombers. And as far as I know that’s not exactly what America is about.

Fuck you bitch.

Careful, you’ll upset newcomer.

I, for one, was ready to pit her a few days ago when she claimed the bombing was staged.

Not that her boys were framed, but that the bombing itself was all CGI and paint.

There was an article on Salon from one of her former customers in the US (when she worked as a beautician) who said Tsarnaeva became very religiously conservative over he years, and eventually she’d stopped going to see Tsarnaeva after she asserted that the 9/11 attacks were actually carried out by the US government to make Americans hate Muslims, and that one of her sons knew this as well. Not a wiretap level of evidence, but then again, it’s also not from the Russians. :dubious:

Would you ever consider a possibility that people who go to this extreme version of conspiracy may, in fact, be expressing their belief that - contrary what you read - there is no hate that deep that would produce 9/11, that they cannot even imagine how that event has anything to do with them being Muslims. In other words, I’d be actually worried if they took ownership of it. Again, while obviously offensive, think of it as primitive hyperbolic device to disown it as in “I have nothing to do with it”. Just an idea …

It also means “fuck my adopted country, they hate my stinking guts.” I mean, you could blame it on Martians or Israeli intelligence forces or whatever as a Muslim, but no, these guys jumped right to “my new country’s government plotted to make me look like a terrorist.”

She’s their mother. She is a woman from a war-torn nation who has just lost one son, another is permanently disabled and unlikely to be free to roam the streets of Dagestan anytime soon. If anybody on the planet is allowed to be slightly insane over this and express ludicrous beliefs and misplaced anger, she is. Nobody believes her and I’m not quite sure why anyone cares. “Mother of slain full of grief and denial: story at 11.”

I think part of the issue is that it’s looking more like it isn’t just misplaced anger and grief.

Huh? What is it looking like?
