This movie was so ubelievably wonderful, funny, beautiful, sad. I love this, it is quite possibly my favorite movie ever.
I’ve loved Baz Lurhmann for a while, especially his psychadelic music video take on Romeo and Juliet. This movie has all the psychadelic madness combined with old world images and surreal settings in which there is no sense of scale or scope. It’s wild, and I love it. I wept with joy at the scene in which we are introduced to the Moulin Rouge, which plays a lot like a really good music video, except far more beautiful…
I can’t describe it, it’s just too wildy incredible. I LOVE THIS FREAKING MOVIE! Sign me up on the waiting list for the DVD right now, baby. Maybe more than one copy.
