Mouse curser problem.

From time to time very randomly my curser will jump to the to edges of the screen. There is nothing as far as I could tell that triggers it.

I reinstalled the driver. No change.

I have a logitech optical wheel mouse.

It does it both online and off.

Any suggestions?

My optical mouse does this too. No advice, though.

your optical mouse is jumping because the light on the bottom is reflecting back awry, if you have a wood grain (fake or not) desk without a mouse pad or a mouse pad with various colors that would be whats causing the problem, try a solid color surface and try to avoid black (black does not reflect very well and your mouse may or may not work, green seemd to work, as well as blue, white seems to cause some problems as well (I cant figure that one out. (your optical mouse may also be dirty, think of it like a smudge on a laser, the beam becomes broken.)

Sounds logical. I use a mouse pad that is blue and siver. It was advertised as being great for an optical mouse though.

But then we know all advertising is the gospel truth don’t we.

O but they would never lie in an advertisment

But i had an optical mouse i used on my wood grain desk and everytime i’d run over a dark spot my mouse would jump. I now have a solid blue pad and it works great.

Wash its mouth out with soap.
The word you wanted is cursor.
