This sounds similar to the Net video where you put a friend’s name in & it creates a news story about the grassroots campaign to elect him/her President.
I got the same one. They are trying to scare you into voting. Fighting complacency, which they fear.
I got it yesterday too. I thought it was a little over the top but I saw the humor.
I got that one–the only thing that annoyed me is that you’d think they’d be a little more on the ball and not send those to people in Oregon. We do ALL our voting by mail, so Election Day is whenever we toss it in the mailbin, y’know? We don’t have to take time off, car breaking down ain’t an issue, etc. It just cheesed me, not a lot, but imprecision and lack of insight gives me the pip.
I am, and I did. Of course, I’ve already voted. (Washington has ‘vote by mail’ too))

I thought it was brilliant and it didn’t even occur to me that anyone could feel threatened by it, it’s so absurdly over the top.

A friend of mine at work got it today. It was exceedingly hilarious when the church sign came up and said “ALL GOD"S CHILDREN WELCOME” “except for Jesus”.
What I find most disturbing about this whole issue is that you’ve elected to refer to your GF as Charlene Hawtboddy, but you haven’t posted any pics to prove that the pseudonym is accurate.
