All theatrical movie trailers (seem to) use the same guy in all of the voiceovers. Who is he, and why does he do all of the previews?
I believe his name is Don LaFontaine. As to his motivation, or reason for his immense popularity, I know not.

Sorry to imply that you are a newbie, johnboy. That’s what I get for looking at your post count and not your date registered. 
Thanks for the info, but the question remains: How did he become so popular and get into the position he’s in now?
Hey KneadToKnow, you were pretty much right the first time. Although I stumbled across this board for the first time about a year ago, this is only about the second or third time I had anything interesting to say and definitely the FIRST time anybody has welcomed me.
