Movies that were good but you never want to see again.

Since you added a tV episode, I will add one too, and it happens to be titled “That’s not my dog.” It was shown in either the 4th or 5th season of Six Feet Under. It was absolutely, nightmarishly horrifying from beginning to end. I was squirming in my seat. Poor David. He was carjacked by a guy who beat him, forced him to do some crack, doused him with gasoline and stuck a gun in his mouth.
No wonder he was so effed up afterwards.

A Clockwork Orange.

I teach with Requiem for a Dream so I watch it at least once a year.

Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist (1997)

Really? Wow…our responses are as different as night and day. I haven’t seen it again since watching it in the theater, but I empathized with Lars and his inability to bear the touch of other people. Are you talking about:

The “death” of Bianca?

It had sad bits, but I guess my wife and myself are such deep social misfits that we weren’t all that disturbed by anything in the film. I own the DVD and definitely need to see it again.

Interesting factoid: A member of another forum we frequent has a couple of Real Dolls and we have communicated with him about his relationship with them long before Lars and the Real Girl was released.

Yes it does:

At the end of the movie, when they’re on the boat. DeNiro orders the mom and the girl to take off their clothes and get down on their knees. Maybe I overstated the case when I said “little girl,” as I think Juliette Lewis was 18 or 19 at the time, and the character was supposed to be about 15, but my point still stands.

Ok, if its not within the last 6 episodes of the final season, which I’ve not watched yet, then I don’t.

There are disturbing episodes of the Shield, and indeed a shivering horrible moment or two I remember, but one particular episode?

Any clue/spoiler. Or episode name?

Mines have been named:

Requiem for a dream
Leaving Las Vegas
Schindlers List

I can’t watch the first 20 minutes of Bad Boy Bubby for a couple of reasons (mainly the animal cruelty, but the ‘sex’ too)… I think I caught it from past that point and actually quite enjoyed it.

You are correct. I was thinking of the even creepier (to me) scene with DeNiro and the girl in the school auditorium. I’d forgotten about the ending.

Schindler’s List - Powerful film, but not entertainment
Mirrormask
The Stand - way too long
City of God - ditto
Once Upon a Time in America - ditto
