Movies you are NOT ashamed to admit you like.

Of course! I love this movie!

Goldie Hawn (hyperventilating): “I can’t breathe!”
Charles Grodin: “What are you talking about? All you’re DOING is breathing!”

Ooh ooh, I’ve got more!

The Muppet Movie
Arthur 2: On the Rocks

Hiding Out
The Jerk
*

Oh, and Rhubarb, I did mention Night of the Comet. Mmmmm. Cheesy goodness.

*Okay, I AM embarassed to admit to liking this one.

The 13th Warrior “My mother was a pure woman, from a noble family. And at least I know who my father was you swine eating son of a whore!”
Good stuff!

Anne of Green Gables
Shag
The original Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Kindergarten Cop
Power Rangers The Movie
Barbie and the Rockers (it really is cool)
Baby’s Day Out
She’s Out of Control
Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead
Super Mario Bros.
Eewoks and Eewoks: The Battle for Endor
Escape to Witch Mountain and Return from Witch Mountain (which I haven’t seen in forever and can’t find)
Prehysteria
The Peanut Butter Solution
That should probably be good enough^_^

Oh, wait. The Witches (the one based on the Roald Dahl book)

**City of Angels

What Dreams May Come

Beavis and Butt-Head Do America**

And I’ve gotten funny looks and groans from both men and women when I admit that I love Legends of the Fall.

Renaissance Man with Danny De Vito is one of my favourite films, but I can’t find anyone else who likes it.
Sorry if it’s been mentioned on the thread before.

I like it. Four great scenes:
1. Banter with the unemployment clerk.

 1. His daughter discovers her tickets and telescope.

 2. The recruit recites Hamlet in the rain.

 3. The boy gets his father’s silver star.
I like so, so many of the movies in this thread. I feel *Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter * deserves a second mention. And Tommy Boy - my sister and I used to laugh ourselves sick watching this. “We’re burning alive! I can’t feel my legs!”

I also endorse the following films:

*Hot Shots * (and its sequel, Part Deux)
The entire *Nightmare on Elm Street * series
Cannibal! the Musical
Broken Arrow - one of the few movies where I was really attracted to John Travolta. Why? Anyway, it’s fun.
Hard Boiled
Logan’s Run

I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch of others. I have a sick, sad love of teen movies and feminist-themed movies (like an old TV movie I saw late one night called The Women’s Room).

Heartbreak Ridge – Is this a comedy, drama, parody? Maybe all and then some. As Homer would say; it works on so many levels.

“Varsity Blues.” I saw this when in the theater at a mid week afternoon showing. Eight men in the audience. All craking up at every cliche. A great experience. And again, was this suppose to be serious, or parody? Great macho camp.

And add “Roadhouse” “Point Break” and "Kinjite (Forbiden Subjects) to the macho camp list. Anything with Bronson, for that matter. All good.

Plus traditional camp classics. “Valley of the Dolls” “Mommie Dearest” and “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane”

And the Madonna movie where she costared with Wilem Defoe, circa 1993. Can’t remember the title. Old ladies walked out of the theater in disgust mid way throught he movie, gay men howling. Hell, straight people cracking up.

And throw in “Good Burger” too. When I meet another adult who enjoyed that movie, I’ll propose marriage. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be single for a while. Seriously. I would recomend “Good Burger” to any parent that has 3rd to 6th grade kids. Fun, with a lot of heart.

I hesitated for a long time before deciding to take the plunge and risk ostracism, jeering and public ridicule. This Lifetime movie, Stolen Women, Captured Hearts, was made in 1997 and stars Janine Turner and Michael Greyeyes. The only reason I want to buy this movie is because Michael Greyeyes is shirtless in many scenes and has rippling muscles that I like to look at. Does that make me a bad person? As soon as I get my DVD player hooked up, I’m gonna search the internet and buy the DVD.

I Love…

ah, um…

2001: A Space Odyssey.

Con Air “Don’t touch the Bunny.” Totally preposterous, yet engaging. The gage with Colm Meany’s car just slays me every time.

I saw a reference to it earlier and must throw in a second vote for

RETURN OF THE KILLER TOMATOES
What’s not to love?

John Astin as the mad inventor

His blonde, blue-eyed athletic assistant Igor, who dreams of being a news reporter and practices with a teddy bear:

The the high and low of entertainment come together as future star George Clooney and future porn star Teri Weigel share a bed.

The bar room fight that suddenly includes cowboys and ninjas.

The aforementioned product placement. (Done because the movie runs out money half way through.)

The return of the master of disguise.(Who also happens to be one of the worst actors ever to appear on screen)

The love montage set to the tune called “Touch me there”
So many good memories.

Good to know that I’m not the only one who loved The Golden Child.

I love the scratching scene, but my favorite scene is when he’s in Tiber, and just had his wallet stolen, and he’s asking if anyone’s seen a little, naked, Tibetan man running around.

Also in my DVD collection (besides Adventures In Babysitting, which I LOVE):

The Adventures of Ford Fairlane - Andrew “Dice” Clay as a private eye in LA. With Gilbert Gottfried, Priscilla Presley, Lauren Holly, Wayne Newton, Ed O’Neill, and Robert Englund
Tango & Cash - Sly Stallone and Kurt Russell as rival cops framed and sent to jail.
St Elmo’s Fire. Not the best acted movie around. But the characters have just always seemed real to me. They all have flaws, and it’s actually a decent movie, if you can get around Andie McDowell.
Quick Change - Bill Murray robbing a bank as a clown. An underrated gem.
