Movies You Loved But Don't Want to See Again

I have to agree. I LOVE 2001, but it can get really boring at times. As can some other Kubrick films (I thought the first part to “Full Metal Jacket” was better than the second part).

I thought of another one: Philidelphia.

Mine’s not depressing, just one that ended pretty dramatically.

*** The Usual Suspects *** is the movie I loved, but don’t want to see again.

I’ve seen enough movies that I loved the first time, and wasn’t so impressed the second time because I know what’s going to happen, that I decided that this is one movie I’m not going to ruin like that.

Those that really tug at the heartstrings I’m usually just good for once:

Leaving Las Vegas
Last of the Mohicans
Braveheart

Some are good but a little too “sappy” for a return engagement, like:

Terms of Endearment
Titanic
Steel Magnolias
Legends of the Fall

Then there are those that I enjoyed but are simply to bizarre to subject myself to a second time:

Eraserhead
Barton Fink

Boys Don’t Cry.

Purple Rain.

Bollywood movies - which I have been watching since I was 3 years old - are at least 3 hours long.

And I love 'em, bad as they are.

I agree with “Boys Don’t Cry” and “Grave of the Fireflies”, but totally disagree with “Lawrence of Arabia” and especially “The Usual Suspects”.

However, what immediately came to mind when I saw the OP is:
“Touching the Void”

Amazing movie, but so exhausting (almost physically exhausting to watch) that I can’t even consider getting the DVD.
