Movies you watch over and over and over again.

Actually inspired by this thread, and also inspired by the movie I watched last night. For me it’s 2 main movies, Airplane! and Stranger Than Fiction.

I love Airplane cuz I think it is the funniest movie ever, but more recently I just can’t get enough of “Stranger”. I can watch it over and over again (and continually do) and I love it every time.

So what is your “over and over” again movie?

Oh God Where art Thou
Beetlejuice

Is that the one starring John Turturro and George Burns? :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine are Sharky’s Machine, To Live and Die in L.A., Sleepy Hollow, and about half a dozen Hammer Horror films.

On edit: Just to say that I’m with the OP. I loved Stranger Than Fiction. Give Will Ferrell a script that doesn’t read like it was written by slow-tracked seventh graders in detention, and the man can fucking act! Why doesn’t he do more of these kinds of movies?

I came in here to post “Stranger Than Fiction.” I generally watch it once a month.

I’m not much of a repeat movie watcher, but my favorite never get tired of movie is Dr. Strangelove. Jesus Christ, there is not a bit of that movie that’s not pitch perfect.

On the other hand, I like almost every Will Ferrell movie 'cause I’m a 12 year old at heart.

Isn’t the obvious answer Groundhog Day?

Stardust, because I think it is awesome in every way. Rounders because… I don’t know… I guess I just like it. Ditto on Stranger Than Fiction. I think the whole “flours” thing is brilliant.

This is Spinal Tap and Pink Floyd: The Wall. What can I say, I like to rock. Idiocracy too.

I never really get tired of The Blues Brothers, myself.

The Producers. Just thinking of Zero’s great big head with his combover plastered across the front makes me laugh.

Star Wars. I’ve seen it something on the order of 200 times. (Given my screen name, I suppose this isn’t terribly surprising…)

All movies fall into this category for me. Probably the most viewed would be Meet The Parents, Meet The Fockers, Me, Myself and Irene, Bully, The Talented Mr. Ripley and Alpha Dog. I’ve watched the first two probably about sixty times each, the third probably fifty times, the fourth probably around fifty times, and the last two probably thirty times each. Fargo and The Forty Year Old Virgin are runners up for probably 25 times each, though the latter might be closer to 40, it’s hard for me to remember.

The Back To The Future trilogy.
Finding Nemo.
And, this is kind of strange, but the Bottom: Live DVDs.

Lately, it’s been “O Brother Where Art Thou?” I watch it mostly for the soundtrack & accurate caricatures of the 1930’s Mississippi populace.

A Bucket Of Blood. That’s the first one that came to mind. Also, in no particular order and only a few:

The Forbidden Zone
12 O’Clock High
Father Goose
Operation Petticoat
Mister Roberts
Down By Law
Stranger Than Paradise
Dead Man
Night Of The Living Dead
The Italian Job
(The original one)…

And a host of others.

So yeah…wanna get married?

I am in the “me too” category,Emma Thompson is awesome in this movie, shoulda won an Oscar.

Catch Me If You Can is another I watch often.

I faithfully watch “Metropolitan” every Christmas season.

The wife and I watch “A Good Year” every couple of months. We’re not really Russel Crowe fans but we make an exception for this movie.

I know you will think I am kidding but my top 3 are:

  1. Being John Malkovich
  2. Orgazmo (Parker and Stone at their finest)
  3. Ishtar (Paul Williams wrote all the songs and I know them by heart)
