Moving and resizing tables and pictures in Word

Apparently I am doing something wrong because whenever I try to move or resize a pic or table they end up wherever they like and whatever size they like. For example when I try to increase the size of a pic, I might be dragging the bottom right corner but when I release it the window snaps back to its original size.

Or sometimes I might manage to get the damn window the size and position I want but it will fark up the text and/or any other pics/tables.

Help! it is very frustrating.

Sounds like your pictures are in “frames”. I hate frames, for reason similar to yours, and so for many years I’ve kept my tables and pictures outside of frames. I think this is called having them “in-line”, because it is treated like text.

Look up “frames” in Help and see if it has anything to do with what you’re experiencing.
