OTOH, leaving old, used electrons for the new owners to have to take to an electron recycling center is just rude. If you’re renting, you should pester the landlord to take care of it. If you’re buying, negotiate a “no stale electrons left laying around” clause in the sale contract.
Now that is good advice, sorry I didn’t think of that myself :o).

Might I suggest getting a non-ISP email address, through something like Yahoo or Gmail? You don’t have to notify every person in your life every time you move, and all your emails travel with you wherever you go.
Since I am well into my 80’s This will be my last move before I am 6 feet under. :o)

The mods have been talking, monavis , and it’s been decided that you’re just not allowed to move at this moment. Very sorry to tell you this, but it’s just not needed right now. You’ll stay where you’re at for the time being.
I will be staying here for hopefully many years so no worries about that. You see the old owners left me their electricity si I am set for the rest of my life.:o)

Very few of the electrons make the trip in the transfer of energy. It’s kind of like lining up all the balls on a pool table touching each other in a line and then hitting one end with the queue ball. Nothing moves except the ball on the other end pops off. With AC it’s more like those Newton’s Cradle things with the balls swinging back and forth.
Maybe the OP could convert to solar or a wind generator and help to save the planet from China’s carbon dump. Of course that would greatly limit the time when she/he could access the Dope, assuming they could still afford a computer after buying all the stuff necessary for that. If money is no object, then a basement full of lead-acid batteries would solve the “when” problem.
And rest assured the NSA is well aware of your move. You won’t have to notify them. Although you may have to show your papers at numerous checkpoints as you travel (I assume you have them all in order), but I feel much safer knowing that your movements are not a terroristic threat.
This may be not part of the topic but to me what is called a terrorist is just a crazy Coward or they wouldn’t hide their faces. If we look at it as terror we are playing into their hands. Thy want us to fear them.
