We are moving to Pensacola area this fall. Been there several times and love the scenery, but as I know looks can be deceiving. I know all about hurricanes and am actually just west of there Gulf Coast Mississippi. But I am sure its totally different there and am looking forward to hearing from some residents all about it. your humble opinion plz ;
I like Pepsicola, but I haven’t been there in 20 years. It’s probably grown some. Had 4-5 malls, lots of movies, nearby beach, lots of places to eat, a Navy base with a great museum, etc. Decent junior college, and a campus of a four year school as well…maybe Northwest Florida?–something like that…but I would not call it a “college town”.
Lot of retired military people live there, and a lot of active military come through. Traffic wasn’t horrible, but again, that may have changed.
I used to live there about 20 years ago too- it was really nice! There are lots of interesting country roads to explore up from town into southern AL, old towns to check out, backwoods fish camps to eat at, etc. I remember the weather was always pretty good.
Thanks for the responses, I was looking at the crime statistics and its not good. Pensacola rated as one of the top 10 cities in the us wow that was a scarey thought.But I like it there and am drawn to that area I would like to hear from some folks who live there presently what there experiances are.
Pretty coastline.
As far as culture … what are your feelings on inexpensive domestic beer?
I’d bet your feelings on either will go for both.
