MP3 Management Software

Currently my MP3’s are extremely unorganized. Some are named correctly other have the wrong artist info due to drive repair. Is there any MP3 renaming software that works with audio fingerprinting to help me fix my library?

Mp3 Tag Tools v1.2.008 has the ability to rename files from the tags. And it’s free. I’m using it to reorganize my files.

I’ve never heard of one that would analyze the guts of an mp3 to do that though.

Yeah I can’t use tags because the recovery software has mixed them up, The files are named 0001.mp3 to 0236.mp3 some have artist info some don’t. Some have the wrong artist info.

I figured if Verizon can tell you what song is playing by having your phone listen to it for a few seconds there would be a pc application that can do the same

Try the Musicbrainz Tagger. I have used it and it seems to do a semi-decent job of identifying MP3s, though it is sometime way off.

I will try their picard program and see how that works.
