"Mr. and Mrs. Smith," starring John Belushi and Toshiro Mifune

Looks like there is going to be yet another sudden job opening at the NY Times soon . . . My TV page this week lists, on TCM Tues. at 9:30, Mr. and Mrs. Smith as starring John Belushi and Toshiro Mifune, as a 1941 “churning comedy of Pearl Harbor aftermath. Some fun but overbaked.”

Not the only thing overbaked, if you catch my drift . . .

I thought John Belushi died in '82?

I guarantee, it won’t be no 1941

“I’m Captain Wild Bill Kelso, US Army Air Corps, and don’t you forget it!”

Oh, wait a minnit. . .

Now I get it. :smack:

Gotcha. It will* be a 1941. :smack:

What we have here, it seems, is one very bored weisenheimer at the Times who, after a few glasses of champagne and no Christmas bonus, figured he would have some fun with the teevee listings.

Hmmm, maybe I should fire off my resume to them pronto.

A little movie trivia; most people don’t know Mr and Mrs Smith was the inspiration for The Crying Game.
