Woke up this morning to hear him shaking like he had Parkinson’s, and groaning.
He claims to be so hot he can’t stand it, but his temperature readings have all been 99.5 or below.
He also says his joints ache.
Last night, he used his goosedown comforter, with a duvet cover, for the first time.
The last time he used the comforter, without the duvet, he had to push it off and put the quilt back on after a few hours. Just too cocoon-like, he said; body heat built up until it was unbearable.
That could be the problem, but why would he still be miserable hours later?
He originally mentioned the possiblility of food poisoning, but he hasn’t vomited (yet).
He’s watching the Lakers, steeped in envy of Kobe Bryant and his team physician.
He’s been taking ibuprofen for the fever and the aching joints, and it works for a few hours at a time, but when it wears off, he’s miserable again.
I’ve been giving him alcohol rubs. He claims to be so hot that the first pass is agony (again, he just doesn’t feel that hot, to me or the thermometer), but they help for a few minutes.
What the hey is going on?
