I couldn’t see a dog in any of the pictures. That damned white rat kept blocking the view. Really, Stoid, you should frame the pictures better.

What a cute pom-pom! He didn’t look upset at all the attention; as a celebrity, it must all in a day’s work to him. I hope he makes it up to San Jose someday.

Yes, it IS the Borders on La Cienega. I recognize the Party On store next door. That, and I happened to be inoccently going to this particular Borders on the day in question, bookshopping. Little did I know what I was in for. What the HELL is that… thing? And what’s with the zipper? Where did ‘it’ come from?

We covered this already. A mining ship was forced to make a stop on an uncharted planet due to a distress beacon, and then that thing ate John Hurt’s face…no wait…it was something frozen in the tundra for 20,000 years…well, now I’m all confused. Just stay away from it.

So I’ll answer the questions:

  1. Yes, it is the borders on La Cienega

  2. Yes, he is almost as cute as the calendar photos. Almost. The calendar photos, of course, capture and enhance his cutitude.

  3. I was concerned about his health as well. The tongue thing is not that uncommon, apparantly, since outside the Borders was a couple with a dog that could have been Ms. Winkle. She looked nearly identical, including tongue. This answers another question, since she was a Pomeranian. Apparantly Poms are pretty goddamn cute!

He was tired when we finally got to him, but appeared healthy. His tongue is permanently pushed out, and is too large to fit inside his mouth. However, it did not appear diseased or damaged in any way.

My questions of the woman who owns him were, in fact, centered completely around his health. While I think Mr. Winkle is wonderful and I really wanted to see him up close and in person, I was very concerned that this situation might be distressing to him. She assured me that he enjoyed it, and that he would be getting plenty of down time afterword. Freaking him out and stressing him out just to show everyone how cute he is doesn’t seem like such a great idea, and I think and hope she’s aware of that.

My life has been enriched by Him. May you all be similarly blessed. :slight_smile:
